Firstly, thank you all for your generous support, listens, downloads and comments for my previous electronic 80's mix. I hope that you will enjoy Part 2 of this series just as much!
`Listening back to some of my favourite `mainstream' tunes and artists from the early 80's, its easy to see the development of my passion for electronic music. This led to my life-long fascination and awe at the pioneering use of computers, synthesisers, dub basslines, drum machines, effects & sampling in music, and ultimately led me down the path of becoming a devout follower of electronic music in all its forms.
I have to respect these early artists, and their influence on the development of the vast spectrum of electronic music as we know it (& gives thanks for it!) today.
You may cringe at some of these tunes, but they all evoke special memories from the more innocent days of Rubiks Cubes, BMX's, Evel Knievel, Knight Rider, The Walkman and Poll Tax Riots!
