A lot of fresh groovy beats!

The story begins ;when I was in the 2nd grade, a period during which i had my first contact with dance music. ;I was instantly fascinated by sounds and the way the people would react to these. ;My school teacher used to organise parties to celebrate the end of every semester. My father had a record shop and a lot of hi-fi equipment. I still remember how hard it was to convince him to let me borrow his loudspeakers and amplifier for the school parties. What a thrilling experience!
My father was buying a lot of new music that was hard to find, that's why I started recording the first mixtapes for my friends. ;BPM matching was extremely hard to achieve. ;I remember using 4 old cassette players: one for recording, 2 for playing and one for winding the tapes. All of this until my father had let me use his cdplayers.
I always had a passion for ;computers and for electronic music. Even though it was the "era" of 4x86 and 5x86, i only had a Commodore 64. ;Using Soundtracker 64 I've managed to make some "noise". ;It was such a time consuming process (because I had to write a lot of machine-code instructions to achieve some results).
A few years later ;my parents bought me a Pentium 6x86 PC; from that moment on everything has changed. During this period of time I was in a continuous search for music software. When I was 14 I started using Fruity Loops. It was a great tool at that time but I was looking for something better; that's how I discovered Rebirth. The following year Propellerheads had released Reason 1.0. When I first started it, I was overwhelmed by its complexity, it seemed to be the best tool for my job. Since then I've been deconstructing music and remixing it, playing with the sound waves, trying to achieve the perfect sound. I'm influenced by producers like Pryda, Joachim Garraud, Butch, Elektrochemie, Jay Haze or Lemos. I like electro basslines, techno beats combined with south American percussion and reed instruments.
As a Dj, ;it’s instrumental to keep up with the newcomings, so I'm doing my best to always provide fresh music and the best mixes of the latest tech-house, minimal and tribal-tech releases; as well as with the latest gadgets and devices used for mixing. In the last couple of years I’ve been experimenting with Ableton Live. Lately I've almost stopped using my CDJs; instead I'm using "Live" together with a RME Fireface 800 soundcard. I sum the signal from the soundcard into a Pioneer DJM 800 mixer. With the help of Akai MPD32 I control all the clips involved in my mix. So stay tuned for IanKoo's Domination!
