Mike Philson of Plainfield, NJ is the Barack Obama of Hip-Hop. He is an artist, producer, songwriter, model, actor, and CEO of MultiMinds Productions. While a new name to some in the industry, Philson has dedicated his career to making powerful music that entertains, uplifts and elevates mankind. In his 23 years he has seen it all--Public Housing, Middle America, a Harvard education, Wall St., and then starting an educational service geared at mentoring low-income students in underserved neighberhoods. Thus, his music is the soundtrack to your life, and embodies the struggles, hopes, and dreams that persist in all of us. Having performed on all around North America, Asia, and Europe, Philson has developed a global fan base and international movement. He has modeled in shows since 2006, and been featured in numerous television shows including new ABC drama "Revenge" and network television show "What Doesn't Kill You." He has received numerous awards not just for entertainment, but also for excellence in education and community contributions, been offered label deals and learned the industry from an artist and also behind the scenes perspective at Universal Music Group. Marcus The Artyst is a versatile young voice in music today. As a saxophonist, producer, songwriter, and vocalist, Marcus integrates jazz, hip-hop, and electronic music into a unified whole. He grew up in South Orange, New Jersey studying Jazz saxophone under Bruce Williams. By 13, he was playing in local venues and gained recognition in Northern New Jersey, throughout his teens. Marcus took a brief hiatus from music, studying mathematics at Harvard, and then working for a short period at a multi-billion dollar hedge fund. However, he decided to follow his dream and soon returned to Music. In addition to continuing to play the saxophone, he began to take up some other instruments, write songs and produce music incorporating his experiences in the pop and hip hop world into his own unique style. In 2009 he joined MultiMinds Productions with College roommate and rapper Mike Philson as a producer, musician, and vocalist. Collectively, they have performed all over Boston, New York City/NJ, London, Los Angeles, Montreal, Shanghai, and several cities in Ireland, both as a leader, as well as a sideman in Jazz, Gospel, Acoustic Rock, Hip Hop, Funk, and Soul Bands. Marcus has received numerous awards for his music, and was also recognized as Man Of The Year by his peers at Harvard, and named one of The Ten Most Beautiful and Ten Most Interesting People in the Harvard Class of 2008. Together, they are releasing "The People Need Leadership” via through MultiMinds Productions.
