Cheeky Beats is a versatile up and coming DJ and producer, based in Leeds, playing hard dance, bounce, techno, house and electro.
Her inspirations as a DJ come from her days spent as a clubber on the dance floors of Sundissential North, Parles Vous, Good Greef, Housewives Choice, Sinergy, Speed Queen, Glass House, Tangled and Federation.
DJs who have influenced Cheeky include Guffy, Shan, Paul Glazby, The Tidy Boys, Illogik, Anne Savage, Paul Maddox, Jon BW and Amber D, Krafty Kutz, Tom Novy, Rogue Element, Dimitri From Paris, Silicon Soul, Aquasky and Jeff Mills resulting in a DJ who is constantly pushing the boundaries of dance music.
Since bursting onto the dance scene in May 2008 Cheeky Beats has been signed to Killertrax Artist Agency and is resident for their monthly club night. Past residencies include Gravity, Xposed and Crescendo. Cheeky has landed guest appearances at some of the best nights in the country including Sundissential, B2T Vs Hardcore Nation, Sinergy, Turn It Up, Raw2TheBone and Viagra to name but a few. She has been lucky enough to play at Birmingham's super club, Gatecrasher, The Custard Factory and two of Leeds' best venues, My House and Kerbcrawler which has been hailed by Mixmag as the new Hacienda! In July 2009 she represented SO DJ Managment on their 2009 Ibiza tour, playing at some of the busiest bars on the Island including Viva, The Orange Corner and Peppers 2.
Cheeky regularly plays for Raw2TheBone at The Park Side Hotel in Pontefract and is a huge hit with their loyal followers, with crowds of 500 + clubbers these 11 hour events are becoming legendary! She has her own radio show on Leeds' underground music station radio frequency The show runs every Thursday morning from 11am - 1pm and showcases the finest house and electro.
Cheeky is fast building a name for herself as one to watch, impressing promoters and clubbers alike with her energetic sets, tight mixing and ability to read the crowd.
She has recently joined forces with Parles Vous resident Cat to start producing house music under the name of The Dust Kittens so watch this space.
Cheeky has worked on production projects with L-EV8, Iain Sanderson, Random But Raw, Jon BW and Sol. She has studio dates booked in for 2009 with Rodi Style, Venkman, Spit and more! As well as collab projects she is hard at work perfecting her own sound and mastering the art of Cubase!
Cheeky's commitment to the music world is second to none and she works as events manager for Leeds based record label Killertrax.
