OK ... let's dial it back to 1987, why not? Here's a bunch of tunes from the dawn of House, featuring some pretty awesome female vocalists. So sit back and enjoy the lyrical stylings of divas like (ahem) Adeva, Candi Staton and Alison Limerick, singing some of my favourite songs from the era. I should mention that on the rare occasions I play out, I always have "Where Love Lives" as my final selection of the set. And it still makes me feel quite emotional. Great tune, soppy DJ!

BTW - I hadn't intended to showcase female singers ... I just picked a bunch of tracks I loved and realised later that it was a mainly YY affair. Odd coincidence or unconscious bias? You decide.
