Hey there, my name is Pietro, a.k.a. RedEyez or TheRedEyedJedi. I've been in the game for quite some time now, I first started spinning way back when I was a kid. When I was about 12 one of my older brother's friends invited me to go to an all ages club called Focus here in Toronto. That is where I was first introduced to House music, I got addicted to Focus, and I was there every weekend listening, watching, learning. The smell of a crowd sweating as the DJ controlled the dance floor, the bass pumped the blood through my body. I got hooked, and I got hooked real good. Listening to tracks like 'Big Fun' & 'Good Life' by Inner City, 'The Whistle Song' by Frankie Knuckles or 'Can You Feel It?' by Mr Fingers. I watched the DJ's and knew deep down inside that this is what I was meant to do. I got myself some cheap turntables and a Pyramid mixer with wood grain on the side (not sure if you know the one I'm talking about) Slowly started my collection of music, buying music from Starsound on Yonge st. then moving on south to other record shops. I also got into Hip Hop, and heavy into reggae, but my love for House music always dominated me. As a child, I grew up in my dad's music studio in Costa Rica, so to me it only made sense for me to have a studio in my home, so I built a little basement studio and started messing around with some friends creating some tracks that I still haven't released, soon... don't you worry. My boy Clint and I have started a little group called 'The Caretakerz' Together we have started making beats, and remixing each others tracks, building a catalogue if you will. Life had taken me to many places, and eventually I met my wife, we bought a house, and had kids. Next thing you know... Life did not allow for me to spin anymore, I needed to provide for my family and I have. Now, I've been given an opportunity to start up again... This time I'm going for it.... Keep your ears open, cause 'The Caretakerz' are coming to clean up!
