It doesn't have much going on and it's extremely simple. However it is very clean sounding and you were nice enough to allow it's download. I might actually use a portion of this in a set.

I also like it because I currently have a thing for Charley Casanova's 1992 Limelight selections and he did similar things where he would make very simple specials for his sets, kind of like this. I've made things like this in the past but because of discovering that Casanova Hot 97 mix, I started making them again. I wouldn't make those downloadable but I will use them in my future sets.

I like what your doing but if you would like some free advice I would have done this... I'm not sure I would have used the amen only because it's so common but that's more of a personal preference. I would have restructured the riff in a way so that when you hear it your like "OMG whoa!" (check out Mark Archer's "Frequency (Killa Productions 91 revival remix) for an example). I would have made two restructured riffs so that it can play again later in the track and be completely different. The happy breakdown with the diva might have sounded neat if you did a dubbed out thing where you only played a few notes with lots of space in between and then put some sort of long delay with feedback on it and maybe a bit of reverb (ex: Manix "Hardcore Junglism (Total Science Remix)"). Also I would loose the filter because that wasn't done much back in 1992. One trick that was used a lot was reversing the beats and key board riffs to create interest.

Just in case I'm sounding like a pompous ass right now giving my two cents (it's so easy to misinterpret text on a messageboard) I'll just say that I haven't had my coffee yet and I'm very sleepy.

Keep rockin' the funky 92 beats!

mr '1992'....i could have a rant back at ya,but in all honesty....i know where you are coming from.im not a 'producer' or anything like one :). I just get bored from time-2-time,and think...what can i fuck up now ;) . I got asked to play the orig at an event, but not having it on vinyl and at the risk of downloading a version that sounded like some twat had recorded his down his phone for an up-load. I decided to do something different. As you said 'it don't have much going on'.....that was my point really, didn't want to make a 'full on 2014 breakz remix'.....just tampered with the original to do something that was 'new'??.
your comments are appreciated tho. :)
