Bio
Growing up in the late 80's and early 90's in Los Angeles allowed me to be musically influenced by the Freestyle, Electro, and Disco sounds being played on the radio at the time. My first exposure to the House and Rave movement was through Mars FM, Renegade Radio, Power 106, KROQ, and "The Underground Beat" on 92.3.
I was fully emerged into the scene when I started to attend several Eastside raves, clubs, and house parties. But, not until I attended some of L.A.'s house afterhours and underground parties on the Westside did I hear a different version of house. This house was deep, soulful, jazzy, and mixed with trance and techno...the DJ's were Terence Toy, Marques Wyatt, Tony Largo, Miguel Plasencia, David Alvarado, Mark Lewis and Fabian (L.A. house masters)...I even got the opportunity to see Tony Humphries, Frankie Knuckles, Little Louie Vega, and many more (NYC house masters!). Then L.A. got a Sonic Booom! when Detroit dropped a bomb and forever changed house and techno for me.
Nowadays I like to mix together some of the old along with the new house and techno...always taking you on a trip.
