Opening track.... - HA YES 0/. Male vocals, as soon as you hear the high powered synth, you remember that genre's sound. 5:45 mark - Male and female vocals. Luv that drag-step bass cadence. 10:35 - CRAFTY mixing ere. Solid loops and overdubs!!!!!!!!! 12:25 - New Edition. Ralph Tresvant's unforgettable vocals. 16:00 - Kool Moe Dee, "How ya like me now." The horn sample, that hook stays with yaz for years. 20:40 - Wow. Smooth male vocals, "Girl I got my eyes on you," SIGNATURE sound of the era. Anything that sounded like this was gonna get club/R&B radio play. 24:00 - FOREVER GOOSEBUMPS. Keith Sweat, "Make You Sweat 1990," that four-chord key hook. Anyone that was a Headz or upcoming DJ in high school back then remembers seeing how the girls would react if you were playing it on your jam box. http://retromania.xoom.it/Oggetti-Vintage/Boombox/BoomBoxPortable.jpg - Dudes would be walking around in the halls with these speaker beasts on their shoulders and be considered royalty. 27:05 - YEZZIR. Crush girl female vocals, "Jam, Jam if you can" FUNKY beat \\0// \\0//. 31:05 - HA! The bassline on this track was hijacked from EPMD, "So Wat Cha Sayin' 1989 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_V8aQ53qoc&feature=youtu.be ." 34:50 - OMG...DUDE 0/!!!!!!! I haven't heard this track in AGES!!!!!!!! Brotherhood Creed, "Helluva 1992 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9M5VqHNV14 ." The Young Rascals' "Groovin 1967" sample is used to perfection. 40:10 - Yep. Male vocals, swervy, and freaky funk bits. 44:05 - MAN. That looped TRANSITION into this track. 45:20 - Male vocals, dance floor groove. Being at a club or wedding hearing this track, no doubt, you're gettin' on that dance floor! 48:15 - RETRO. Sincerity male vocals, "Stay with me tonight" metropolitan instrumentation. When you'd hear this track, you couldn't wait to get out of class or work and go see your squeeze HA! 55:15 - MINT. Karyn White's vocals, "And I love the way you love me." 60:05 - Oh soooo good. Female vocals, sugary high powered synth. 63:05 - Flowin'. Male vocals, digital snare kick! Again, this groove just makes you wanna dance. 65:50 - And more Keith Sweat, "Something Ain't Just Right 1988." Teddy Riley's timeless production brilliance. Got me feeling all VHS right now.... 74:40 - Coda....the male vocals here are similar to Michael McDonald.

- Shouts out to DJ Huey, you have to respect his crates. This cheeky retro set was perfectly executed. Anyone age 45+ remembers the New Jack Swing era. I mean, to the point where it got overkill at R&B clubs and in University dorms from 1991-1993. The sound is both memorable and undeniable. You couldn't be a young man or lady figuring out your 21 year old "cools" without hearing this vibez. And Lord help yaz if ya had a crush on someone....(1 hr 15 mins - RETRO GOLD!)
