27 years ago i bought a set of Technics 1210 turntables. I did this after my mate took me to a Warehouse Rave to see a DJ called Slipmatt. Ever since then i have practised all things DJ. To this day i still follow listen an study Slipmatt's mixtape's as well as keep regular contact with the man himself. I am always searching an digging for new tune's. I play very different genres of Rave music. What I find really hard is to find fresh New Skool breaks that i like. There is a lot of it out there but its no where near as good as the old skool rave breaks i feature on most my mixtapes. But if you are a Producer of New Skool Breakbeat's or at least a producer that can create a track with the old skool rava in mind, or you can point me onto a certain producer making New Skool Rave breaks, inbox me straight away. If it is good enough i will feature them or you on my next mixtape.

I first discovered house music when I was at college in Nottingham. Graeme Park was resident at The Garage Club, and was spinning music which was to shape my life from 16 years old to now... 38 years old.You know the score, a beat a bassline a piano riff a killer synth a hevenly vocal solo... all of these elements push towards this scene, movement , this religion. I purchased my 1210's 21 years ago, and believe it or not they are still mixing sweet as a nut with no repairs made whatsoever, (I could do with some more pop up light bulbs tho). The first instant I heard a second track queing thru my headphones, I was bowled over by a sense of pure ecstacy.Granted I couldn't mix for toffee, but within a few months I was linking tunes for some tidy mixes. I then had a few residencies at clubs around Cumbria, and Yorkshire playing house music to the discening ear, right at the peak of the late 80's early 90's scene. I feel priveledged. Also as an incredibly active clubber, my friends and I hit the best clubs in the country.Always proud to be the first one on the dancefloor, I discovered a greater connection to House music, in the clubbers state of mind, than any connection I had to anything else in my life.I am most comfortable playing US House and Garage, however I love Italian House, Techno, Drum n bass... hang on stop, it's easier for me to say I love it all. A solid beat and i'm on one.I am well aware of the talent surrounding the House Music industry, I embrace it, and will check out as many mixes as I can. If you feel the need to come on a journey, hop on board all welcome. Peace and LoveSMiD

It all started back in 1990 with The Happy Mondays & Stone Roses. Rave was still underground & Illegal The sound was fresh. It all started when I listened to a mixtape a mate was listenin to he said have a listen to this. I soon started to search for pirate stations around my local area, MIX FM, FRESH FM (Leicester) & KOOL FM (Birmingham). Has I got more into the music I thought I would have a go at DJin so brought myself a pair of soundlab belt drives & a numark mixer & buy my vinyl from 5HQ. In 2009 I thought I would have a go at producin my own tracks. UNDER CONTRUCTION
