With over 20 years of experience behind him; DJ Quick still reigns as one of Chicago’s hottest DJ’s on the street and in the clubs with his raw talent behind the decks. ; Reason being............his sounds, style, versatility, talent, and knowledge of old school funk, disco, house, hip hop/r&b, reggae and steppin. DJ Quick is mostly known for his Jackin House Classics series cd’s which were released in the late 90’s and to-date are still the ..1 selling old school house cd’s on the market and are still in demand. But that’s not all; DJ Quick has produced and mixed a variety of different genre cd’s like Trackworks Vol 1 and 2 (hardhouse), Freestyle Mega Hits Vol. 2, House Passion which sold 15,000 units in 1 week, Get Crunk And Juke It, Off Da Chain (hip hop), plus many more. It all started in 1985 when DJ Quick went to a house party on the south side of chicago where Farley "Jackmaster" Funk was the DJ and the rest is history. Throughout the years, DJ Quick has practiced, learned, studied and excelled in his profession and it was a featured guest spot on WCRX 88.1 FM that kicked off his career. He submitted a 30 minute old school mix to the program director and that mix generated such a huge response, the program director played it 4 weeks in a row. After that one mix, he was offered a prime time spot which he held for 2 years, and not only gained the confidence of his listening crowd, but also producers and fellow DJ’s around the world. After his 2 year run with WCRX, he decided to step away from the radio station and concentrate more on producing and remixing. La intención es publicar en este canal diferentes sesiones inspiradas en las músicas que durante tantos años bailé y mostré como dj. Todo comenzó en 1995 en el legendario Sketch Club en el que fui residente durante tres años. Como Dj Dab Maia, durante mas de veinte años he estado pinchando en diferentes locales y festivales de Canarias, sobre todo en la isla de Tenerife, y en la ciudad de La Laguna, donde vivo. Otras residencias que duraron unos años fueron la del Txola de La Laguna y Club Musa de Santa Cruz. Participé en varias ocasiones en festivales dedicados a la difusión de músicas del mundo como Diversity, Tensamba, Mumes y Tránsitos. También he hecho radio, y del 2012 al 2017 fundé y dirigí el sello Kalma Records, apoyando y distribuyendo la música de más de ciento cincuenta músicos y productores tanto de las Islas Canarias, como nacionales e internacionales. A DJ who has his own unique style of mixing, a mega mixer (to be specific I am Versatile). There's a part of life where you discover that you have a talent and you don't let that talent go to waste. I got my first set around 2012 to impress and to show that I'm able to make the dance floor on fire, however after that experience I managed to squeeze myself in the DJ world. Having to meet other DJs and also gain experience in music, it has been great but a DJ has got to learn in other to achieve. My name is Antonello Celi and I live in Sicily (Italy). I have been a DJ since 1987, I started with belt turntables and put music in the various clubs of my city, from 1991 I started broadcasting RADIO STUDIO 5 on a local radio until 2005 after I left the radio to dedicate myself to my family and my job.
