Follow on Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/donnychristian6 DJ PROFILE: Donny only started beatmatching at the age of 21; he always enjoyed raving to old skool garage and house music but never thought he could actually mix. It was only 'till he got messing with some MP3 mixing software (Atomix)...........then caught the bug. Instead of going down the electronic route he managed to grab some dirt-cheap Technics SL-1210 Mk3 decks & SH-DJ1200 mixer (for a bargain £500) and was soon trawling the record shops of London and eBay tracking down those rare-as-rockinghorse-sh*t tunes! Over time (and £££s spent!) he has built up a vast & extensive collection of the very best Old Skool Garage nostalgic tunes from 1997-2002; he likes to call this the 'Golden Era'. Many, many hours of practise behind the decks gave him the skills and confidence to take the plunge and jet out to Laganas, Zante in 2005 for the entire summer to share his talent. There, he immediately gained residency in Wackabout/Sabotage Club and also DJ'd guest nights at Amnesia Nightclub, Club Black & White and Footprint Beach Bar. Since his return he has played out at various bars/clubs and private functions around London & Surrey such as Wimbledon, Croydon and Clapham. Apart from Old Skool Garage, he specialises in and Funky/Disco/Electro House which has mainly been driven by his passion for anything Hed Kandi – he owns a massive collection of their CD compilations dating back since 2004. His funky house collection on vinyl ranges from 1999-Present though! Donny always has the crowd in mind and endeavours to give them what they want to hear. He loves to know his music inside-out so can drop tunes at the perfect spot to keep them jumping all night. Music-wise he is pretty versatile; he can also mix Trance and Drum & Bass. His partner in crime Mike Chadwick is also somewhat of a master around the decks who specialises in HipHip and R&B of all years so, together will always have something in their boxes for the masses! On Donny’s page you will find his proudest mixes (with no song repeats!) so try download them all. Any feedback is always appreciated so you are welcome to leave a comment on any of them. Follow Donny to be kept informed of his latest mixes. If you are a dj/producer (or just generally a funky house fan) join his Soundcloud group (http://soundcloud.com/groups/hed-kandi-inspired-house-music) and submit your funky house mixes/tracks or have a browse & listen to what's already been submitted :-). Check out his SoundCloud DJ page: http://soundcloud.com/donny_dj See you on the Beach / Bar / Dancefloor* (*Delete where appropriate!) DJ BOOKING INFO: Specialist genres - Mainroom / club Funky House, vocal UK Garage floorfillers. Craig AKA Wilson Frisk hails from Bradford, Yorkshire in the north of England. Like many other Dj's Wilson started his musical journey collecting music as a young teenager doing compilations for his friends. In 1994 Wilson started a music fanzine called 'Jackyard Backoff' with his late friend Chris Stephenson which covered the music scene in the north of England. Around 1995 Wilson became involved with a very successful club night called 'Spice' which was his first stint at Dj'ing playing Broken Beat, Acid Jazz, Hip Hop, Soul and jazz. Although Wilson had listened and collected plenty of House music, he didnt become a full on House Dj til around 1998. Since then Wilson has firmly established himself in the House music scene holding down residencies in Bradford, Leeds and Huddersfield and been involved with infamous club nights such as Back2Funky, Uno House, Our House, Afro Coalition, Way2Funky, Wallop, GYGO and The House Of Phunk. Currently Wilson is one of the Boombox Stereo residents who play at the mighty BeatHearder Festival and part of the 4Playdjs Collective who play at the Solfest Festival in Cumbria. Recently Wilson has also turned his hand to production and is one half Of The Krate Diggaz along with Rich T who are signed to Disco Filter Records and Black Rain Records, with current releases on Traxsource.com .. Wilson is known for his smooth mixing style, taking you on a musical journey dipping in and out of all genres of House music but keeping it in his Soulful, Funky style that he renowned for! You can now catch Wilson on PCR (Peoples city radio) peoplescityradio.co.uk/ every other Wednsday night 6 til 8pm UK with his show 'HouseBound' which has been firmly running for 4 years now, playing all things House, with regular guests.....Keep The Faith!

Always been in a relationship with Music and enjoy any involvement in listening to, making or mixing, and that has been the case as long as I can remember. I Dont claim to be the best mixer in the world but love the process and have been more than a little excited by the reaction of mates and acquaintances. I initially started loading them up on the net as I was being asked to copy the music and give out discs etc. Just seemed much simpler this way. As I said I have always loved music and have written tracks working with great local producers over the years although I tend to just write lyrics these days As far as Mixing goes I have a residency in my bedroom most weekends occasionally play in my kitchen and in talks about maybe getting my kit set up in my living room Joking aside, it is very much a hobby but still take it reasonably seriously and always seem to be listening out to tunes that I feel will benefit my record collection. Anyway, please give my mixes a try and if you like them feel free to comment and/or download, thats what they are there for.

Pair of Technics 1210's mk2's i've had since '93, and a 2 channel Numark M3 mixer i got in '09, cos my 'Realistic' mixer was completely shafted when i dug it up after about 9 years! Nothing flash in my pan! Plus one Pioneer CDJ500S, and a DENON 3500,(cd decks). Also a Pioneer cd recorder, which has made life much easier, after recording onto old school cassette tapes, until pretty recently! I've also used Pioneer 1000 mk3's, 800's, and the Pioneer 2000 cdjs, whilst playing out in Djsville! Currently mixing and experimenting with Traktor pro 2 and a Numark controller. Classic vinyl, mostly 1988-95ish, and from '99 to 2001, when i got back into it after a break. Mainly vocal style u.s. garage & euro house, funky, soulful, chugging & dubby stuff, deep vibes, progressive, odd bit of early techno, aswell as recent, classic and brand new soulful, funky, deep , progressive or uplifting vibes on burned cds, usb sticks or stored on the hardrive n laptop . It all started way back in 1990 for me. House/ Dance/ Rave music, was a new scene back then. The music, the people and the atmosphere, was like nothing i'd ever experienced. The Warehouse, Back 2 Basics, The Gallery and Hi Flyers in Leeds, After Dark in Morley, The Ku Klub in Huddersfield, Hacienda/ Manchester, Rennaissance/ Nottingham, The Zone/ Blackpool, Monroes/ Blackburn, Love 2 Be in Sheffield, Hard Times/ Mirfield and Huddersfield, were all personal faves from 1990 to '95. After teaching myself 2 beat mix on a pair of odd, belt driven beasts, that id got in 91, i finally got a pair of Technics 1210's in 1993, and never looked back. My aim as a dj is simply 2 try and give people a good time, and mix the best i can, with a nice selection of tunes, in an order that flows well. Be it just listening @ home, whilst driving 2 work and back, or letting yourself go on the dancefloor, on that 1 night u get now and again, to leave lifes troubles behind, that's what it's all about! It should never be about the dj and his/her ego. That's the 1 thing i hate about the scene, especially today. Bedroom or Worlwide 'name' Dj, it really shouldnt matter. Fame, fortune and glory isn't what house music is about in my opinion. Its about unity, having a good time and playing and enjoying good music. And if i can play a part in that, i'm happy! I try to have a beginning, middle and ending to my mixes, and they often follow a similar pattern. A nice opener, then usually i build to more peaktime tunes, then round up on one or two classics or ideal 'end of the night' tunes. A kind of 'mini night out' if u like. Well, that's my aim at least! Dance music influences would be: All the early Dj's i used 2 get lost on the dancefloor to, starting back in 1990, (Not sure who they were, it just didn't seem 2 matter back then!) When Djs became 'big names!' that i took notice of, (1992ish): Graeme Park, Sasha, Todd Terry, Dave 'Joey Negro' Lee, Tom Wainwright, Tony Walker, David Morales, Marshall Jefferson, Frankie Knuckles, Tony Humphries, Ali Whitehead, Masters at Work and plenty others i cant think of, all made me sit up and take notice. But i never got into the 'Dj worship' thing too much. Once i learned how 2 mix, and witnessed the mistakes i heard being played out, that the legends of the mixing game made, i realised they were just humans like me and everyone else! There is definately a skill involved in the choice of tunes and flow of a set that will keep the crowd buzzin', but i mean, 9 outta 10 dj's are basically just playin' other peoples records! And even if they play their own creations, there is nothing uglier, than some dj, on an ego trip! Influences on me outside of the dance music scene, cover everything from Rock n Roll to Disco, the Punk movement in the late 70's, 80's electronic stuff, the 'Madchester scene', and everything in between! I'd name drop Joy Division, The Sex Pistols, The Smiths, The Happy Mondays, New Order(early stuff), Orbital, Underworld, Leftfield, early Prodigy, all had an effect on me with their albums & pioneering sounds. I have mellowed with age, you can probably tell by my mixes!
