Jinx grew up in Mauritius and was mainly influenced by rock music as an adolescent. His taste in music soon changed when he started visiting nightclubs around the island and eventually fell in love with house music. He was introduced to DJ'ing at the age of 16 by one of his friends who used to work as a DJ. At first, he played at private parties with friends. Owing to his studies, he had to drop DJ'ing for 4 years and it is his departure to London that made him more influenced with house music and DJ'ing. This was the main turnover in his DJ'ing career. In 2007, he started working as a DJ on Phatbeats Radio (http://www.phatbeats.co.uk) which allowed him to get his first residency at Number 8 Bar, Willesden, London. DJ Jinx style of music consists mainly of Dirty Dutch House, Electro House and Progressive House and Minimal House with some touch ups on Commercial House tunes to keep the dancefloor spanking busy! :) On his arrival to Mauritius in 2009, he has had the opportunity of working with the Addictive Tour (http://www.addictivetour.com). Eventually, with the help of Jevin Moorghen, they finally created MauriceFM (http://www.mauricefm.net), which is a well known Online Radio Station in the island. I love trance and how it makes me feel.. When I wake up in the morning, making a new mix is all I could think about.
