baiodeejay was born in Milan in 1970; grew artistically between dark music and anglo-saxon psychedelia, finds his musical identification in the panorama techno and trance tied to the Detroit scene of the 90's (Damon Wild, Mix Master Morris, Ritchie Hawtin, Orlando Voorn, Jeff Mills, Tim Xavier etc). In the 2000s the his love for the new electronics and a growing interest in house music artistically they will direct him toward the minimal - house and electro mainly linked to Berlin's German scene; musical style influenced by artists like Kraftuerk, Pink Floyd, Brian Eno etc. Matured in the Milan underground scene; today is the owner of an independent record label, called Habitat Recordings L.T.D, founded in the late '90s as well as DJ of some milanese and european clubs where also performs with his crew. Born amidst the chaos of late 80's synthpop being overthrown by early 90's grunge and "alternative" rock, a young child, raised in the shadows of both, sought refuge from this musical cacophony and took to the internet. There he discovered the beauty of Trance and House music, staples of the early rave scene. In 2010, after nearly two decades of privately listening to these styles of music, and discovering their younger electronic cousins, he attended his first rave, ushering in an era of newfound love for the music and culture of the scene, and with it, the support to take his love for the music to the next level. He began learning the arts of track selection and beat matching, quickly garnering a real talent for the trade of the Disc Jockey. In 2012, he took it one step further, producing his first Trance track, Venus In Leo. Since then, DJ Shokwave has vowed to make his own musical compositions available for everyone to enjoy, absolutely free. Music should be freely accessible for those who wish to indulge in it, and it is by that creed that this dedicated performer shall live. Shokwave hopes to one day be chosen to perform at annual festivals across the United States such as PDF, Symbiosis, Big Dub Festival, and many others.
