DJ2020AURA
DJ2020AURA

from a very young age around 8 years of age, AURA knew he wanted to get into the music scene and be a DJ. his very first taste in music was rave Jungle and dance music and Bollywood remixes. fast forward to the summer of 1999 AURA now 13 discovered a genre that would change his life forever, That genre was Trance. AURA was completely mesmerized by this magical spiritual uplifting sound and knew instantly that this was the genre for him. The first Trance mix AURA heard was that of Paul Oakenfold @ space Ibiza 1999 on BBC Radio 1 .the mix brought tears to AURA who had taken the sound of Trance to his heart from that moment AURA had never experienced such emotion before. From then on in AURA Started to regularly listen to Dj,s Such as Paul Oakenfold judge Jules Tiesto and other big names at the time .evermore expanding his knowledge and understanding of Trance. At 18 AURA brought his first cd decks and started to hone his skills and define his own unique style influenced by his DJ idol Paul Oakenfold. In 2008 AURA had the chance to see Paul Oakenfold DJ at the ministry of sound club in London. It was another defining moment for AURA he had finally seen his DJ idol and it was one of the best nights of his life. in 2009 another defining moment happened AURA met a long lost school friend Neill Moore. a fellow lover of trance.AURA and Neill would meet regularly to practice mixing and talk all things trance and help each to develop. AURA and Neill quickly developed an understanding of each other and pushed one another to get better.AURA and Neill would record regularly together often going back to back and then listening back for ways to improve. Neill and Aura would mix mainly Progressive and uplifting trance .in 2012 AURA discovered digital DJing and this is where his DJ journey really begun. AURA recorded his first solo progressive Trance set entitled DREAM STATE. the mix was a huge hit and this encouraged AURA to record more and also record uplifting trance sets. for the next 7 years, AURA would continue to master his style which he describes as melodic intense and uplifting. 2018 was the year AURA started to mix psytrance as a natural progression from progressive and uplifting styles. In April 2018 AURA saw his DJ friend Neill Moore perform at the London psychedelic party PSYMERA This influenced AURA to finally conquer his fear of performing and start to preform himself. 2019 was the breakthrough year for AURA He met techno and House DJ Jon Shelley who broadcast a progressive trance set on his elements radio show on pie radio. AURA also submitted a psychedelic set for PSYMERA promoter Enzo who liked what he heard and gave AURA his first DJ set later in 2019. the journey has just begun. Peace DJ AURA

Stay safe all.The Witch Doctor, a British Psytrance artist and founder of Psychedelica from the South of England, who got into music at an early age and pursued this love at school. She played in the school Orchestra and during her Senior school days she found the Underground sounds. This fuelled a new passion for dj’ing, at the age of 17 she purchased her first set of decks, Technics 1210’s. A love affair ensued with mixing Psytrance, Psytrance fuelled a whole new ambition of one day being able to compose and write this Music as well as spinning it on the wheels. During University she met other likeminded Souls with a passion for Psytrance and she began dj’ing the Underground party scene. Regularly attending illegal Raves and playing the odd spot she knew this passion for this music was locked into her Soul. Yes there are other genres like Psychill, Drum & Bass (project: The Prophecy Killers), Ambient and Techno that she adores but Psytrance is the passion inside. After University during her 20’s she had to focus on a career in Science so Music had to take a bit of a back Seat. This never quelled the passion mind you. Life took her to France where she owned property over there and she spent 10 years there and became frustrated that her Music was drifting away from her. After a period of illness she then decided it was time to sell up and move back to England and pursue her Music once again. With some of the proceeds she invested in a state of the Art Pioneer CDJ2000NXS2 set up and studio equipment having never been able to afford these essential tools till now. The last few years have seen this artist go from strength to strength. She has residencies on numerous Psytrance Radio stations. Tribalismo Radio, Dragonfly Radio, ETN.FM, Discover Trance radio, Pur Hits, TIMB Radio, Illogic Radio and others. Since focussing hard in the studio she has had releases on Ohm Ganesh Pro Records, Ovnimoon, Atsral Vision records, Ox recordings, Power House records and Bass Star records. There is no stopping this lady as her love for the Music is now filling floors across the World.

Never as a youngster in a million years did I ever think I'd be mixing dance tunes .....My love was ( still is a bit ) heavy rock / thrash metal . Seen em all from AC/DC to ZZ Top , it all changed seeing Metallica in 84 tho , then a few years later Slayer. The energy was addictive . Used to make compilation tapes for my friends . It wasn't until attending an Ozric Tentacles concert did it all change again. It was in the very early start to the 90's. Eat Static were support , I witnessed a concert crowd mutate into a full blown dance event , when Static came on. Now , prior my rock / metal days, as a kid , I was brought up on the likes of Bowie , Queen , Donna Summer 10cc , disco and then Jean Michelle jarre . I think those seeds sown as a youngster were suddenly awakened, they surpassed my love of heavy rock that night on the dance floor that night and with Eat Static had me dancing like a loon. I was hooked . I found my groove from moshing and headbanging to dancing non stop . From then on , visited all manner of hedonistic parties. I dicovered goa / psy trance. The parties expanded, likes of Megadog .Return To the source, Otherworld , Earth dance ect ect ...that worm grew . So , as I always loved making mix rock tapes I decided to try ( still trying ) mixing Goa and Psy trance - starting with a pair of Sony discman's onto an old tape deck ! The rest is history . My efforts may not be brilliant , but if at least one of my attempts at mixing catches the ear then its all good . I'm humbled to be able to be given the opportunity to try and mix and share such wonderful , energetic shamanic dance tunes and totally besotted by this genre's sound nearly 30 yrs on . Main flight deck ( spare bedroom static set up ) is made up of a 2 pairs of Pioneer cdj 400's. a djm 800 mixer , recording MP3' ,CD's onto a Reloop 2 Mp3 recorder , no pc , I've also just started separately using a Numark Mixdesk Express ( very impressive ) or a pair of 2nd hand cdj400's & a pioneer DJM 250 Mk 2 mixer . I use the Mixdesk / 400's as a basic set up (at present on the kitchen - table foot injury doesnt permit standing at my main set up, - which drives the mrs mad ) again no pc or Serato , but using Mp3 sticks or cd's onto a Reloop 2 MP3 recorder. I'm amazed at the simplicity of the Reloop recorder - its an enjoyable addition to a set of basic decks. Recently Ive obtained a Numark. Mixdeck go pro . No matter what system tho , I still refuse to use any corrective programs or editing on any set up , so what you hear is totally real, mistakes included , first off mixing -RAW , what you hear is exactly as in the moment BUT thats my own choice. I just hope my efforts tickle the space between your ears . GOA / PSY TRANCE always has , and always will be my altar , my religion . BOOMSHANKA! Love n peace - Oz - Sickrabbit

I first discovered electronic dance music during the 80s and have been completly hooked ever since. No other music effects me on an emotional scale like edm.I learned to watch out for dance tracks that were in the charts during the 80s and record them on old cassette tapes, around the early Acid House era.My next big leap in the dance music scene was when my cousin played me a dj mix by a guy who id soon come to worship-the now legendary Goa mix by Paul Oakenfold.Amazing and my addiction grew.i listened constantly to his mixes on the Essential Mix and began searching for djs that played similar styles. That was when i discovered Sasha,John Digweed,Nick Warren and the whole Global Underground phenomena & thats when i bought my first set of decks,18yrs on,im still dj'ing and with clubbing trips to Ibiza,Aiya Napa & of course most sat nights in Belfast im still addicted.Trance and Progressive House has changed down the years but my passion for those euphoric hands in the air moments hasnt. My favourite djs are Above & Beyond,i have seen them on a number of occasions and met them twice(top blokes),Jaytech,Jacob Henry and Proff. These guys are rocking my world at the minute and their sounds have helped me through some difficult times in my life and i hope they will continue to do so.NO DANCE MUSIC=NO LIFE :-)

i started djing at 16 after months of begging the parents for months to buy me some 1210s,which i still use today going strong.my passion in music has to be old school piano, retro and vocal funky house if you cant sing to it then its no good lol.in the early nineties i started going clubbing, and for me to this day was the best for music.when i first got my 1210s i had no intension of djing in clubs it was just a hobby for and for my own enjoyment.i was actually tricked by a fellow dj and good friend who was already djing in clubs, when he phoned me up one thurday night and said he was ill and needed me to help him out and play at a bar for him,to which i found out later it was actually a dj competition to which he entered me and to my surprise i won to which the prize was residency at bradfords biggest dance club which pulled 700 to 800 in every friday and saturday night,my first night djing in the club was christmas eve which was packed out and i was shitting it,it was a big difference mixing some tracks in the bedroom and then to bid audience but i absolutely loved it and was hooked, and so my djing career was born. within the first year things went from strength to strength playing in numerous clubs all over yorkshire and holding down residencys and playing alongside some of the biggest names in the country (alister whitehead,k klass, paul taylor just to name a few) i was more known as a dj for my old school sets and so i was made a resident for retro which took me to ibiza djing at eden and loved every minute. in the mid 2000s i began working with a fellow dj (adam g) at a place called bar me which was just a bar not a club, but in the first 6 months playing there the profits soared 700% and went from a free bar and having to pay in on the door,so we sat down and thought were on to a winner here and decided to brand our own night and event, and so worship was born. our brand of night went from strength to strength holding down rooms at space, gatecrasher, visage and ethios, garlands and many more,we even ended up with our own radio show on a friday night on dvm radio (dance vinyll masters). i think the reason our night worked so well was because we didnt brand it as one style of music it was straight across the board,if it was a classic then it got played. in 2008 we decided to pull the brand as we both wanted to persue over interests,i decided to take a break from djing as it got to a stage where i stopped enjoying it and felt more of a chore going to work instead of doing something i loved. so now im back, loving my music more then ever and back on the scene :-)

I started listening to music since he was 8 years old, my first console I got it at 17 I was delighted with the years 80s, then I am passed to the techno-acid. They were good times and all vinyl. In 1994 I started to appreciate techno -hardcore, after which they are passed to the hardcore and still are today. I'm not a professional DJ. I also began to appreciate the genre hardstyle and rawstyle. However I like all kinds.
