I have been involved in music literally all my life. Starting from the source, born into the family business of Latin Percussion(LP) the world leader in Afro-Cuban percussion musical instruments later the final step, curating music in a nightclub I owned. My family’s home was a musical dreamland, frequented by musical luminaries, Patato Valdez, Tito Puente, even Dizzy Gillespie, the list is endless. Bembe’s in the basement smoking through the night were not uncommon. At the age of 15 years I engineered a record album Carlos Patato Valdes “Bata Y Rumba”. My years dedicated to the family business, had me focusing on the details of sound. I was enamored with R&D, the idea that a musical instrument I invented would be enjoyed by millions of people around the world captured my soul. In 1995 I got involved in Soulful House, I embraced this new music and found my “sound”, soulful, percussive, interesting song structures with strong African and Latin influences. www.fb.me/WayneDeepSoul

DJ Cubanito is a Latin remixer and producer based in Houston, Texas. He is currently rated # 60 (12-14-11) on the World DJ list in the "Open Format" category. Alex Carmenates is DJ Cubanito, a well known Latin DJ around the world, showcasing in clubs across the US, such as, The Church (Denver), South Beach (Houston), Score and Twist (Miami Beach), WetBar (Atlanta), Ibiza (Miami Beach), and many others in Europe, such as, Republika De Cuba (Romania), Kaufleuten (Zurich), La Isla (Stokholm), Avenue 1 (Guthemburg) Art Cafe (Madeira), El Mexicano (Funchal), Mexico, Canada, South America, and at the Caliente and Antillense Festivals held in Zurich, Switzerland and Hoogstrante, Belgium. He was also a mix show DJ at KQQK 106.5 FM in the late 80s achieving # 1 status on Arbitron for his Saturday night "Party Mix" in Houston, Texas. DJ Cubanito has been recognized as one of the major forces in breaking Freestyle and House music in Huston in the early 80s and 90s. In those early days of his career he was known as Alex C. Cubanito has produced an array of official #1 club scorchers in 2008 & 2009, including Luis Fonsi's award winning "Aqui Estoy Yo" and Paulina Rubio's "Causa & Efecto". I started spinning tunes as a DJ at the tender age of 16, igniting the party scene for my crew. Back in '87, I joined forces with some amazing friends to launch a mobile DJ setup that was truly epic. We'd roll up to gigs, blow the crowd away, and create memories that still make me smile. Around 2007, I began exploring the world of electronic music production, crafting my own beats and experimenting with sound. Born in London and actually living in Madrid [Spain]. I had been listening & involved with music for more than 50 Years from now. Since I was a child I grew up listening classic Opera & easy listening Artists. That´s probably the reason why I appreciate music in general very much & helped trained my ear since then. I Love many different genres & have a great music collection in my personal discoteque. Good recordings are mostly essencial for me. I started challenging and proving I could create any genre Mixes without the use of expensive & professional controllers no pre-phone involved, only with the use of my ears, & my wonderful PC as tools. Today I use my Pioneer Pro controller to Mix all sessions in a one & only take.
