My journey as a DJ began in the UK, sparked by my first clubbing experience where I was captivated by a DJ's ability to blend tracks effortlessly. This moment ignited my passion for music and motivated me to embark on a career in DJing. I took my first steps in 2007 by downloading a free legal version of Virtual DJ, which allowed me to mix live online and experiment with various genres. Currently, I utilize Rekordbox alongside a Pioneer DDJ1000 controller, striving to hone my skills and become the best DJ I can be. I am a true Old School Style DJ... Started DJing while attending South Gate High back in 1985. Back when KDAY was an AM radio station, and had TonyG as one of the their DJs. In fact it was after seeing TonyG DJing at La Casa Camino Real (off of Washington and Oak in Downtown LA) that I began to start DJing myself. Over the years I have mixed at several of the known clubs in Hollywood, Los Angeles, El Monte, Huntington Park, Long Beach, and several other cities within LA / Orange counties. Than for about 15 years I worked as a Freelance Lighting Audio, Video tech, and DJ as well, providing my DJing services in in the Special Events industry. Most of which were weddings, private parties, and corporate events. I mix both English and Spanish music with a music library of over 80,000 songs covering most genres of music from the most current hits of today and going back as far as the 50's & 60's. I recently moved to Reno, Nevada to be close to my parents who are getting up there in age, so I could spend quality time with them in their remaining years.

DJ Quantize a.k.a. James Barr, born and bred in Sussex, started out in 2004 performing locally at many house parties, pubs and clubs. As he progressed he was able to secure regular slots around the Somerset, Western Super-mare, Bristol, Southampton and Swindon regions, playing at numerous internet based radio stations, and is now the co-founder at Drum& Bass Network Radio. He was also involved with other various radio stations such as; Emergency FM, Bassport FM, Headrush Radio, DNB Radio, London’s Upfront Radio, BNB London Radio, Glastonbury FM and Ujima 98. His early musical influences include DJ Premier, The Fugees, Cypress Hill, DJ Zinc and DJ Craze. James’ strong interest for music and his passion to succeed led him down the production route, taking on work experience at a professional recording studio in Chichester, where he acquired a taste to start writing his own tracks. Whilst still working voluntary for Airtight Studio's and enrolling with Chichester College for Performing Arts, this course included DJing lessons and practice, gaining experience including career development courses called ‘Gateway to Music’ with an open learning plan. During this time DJ Quantizes musical style progressed to incorporate such genres such as Drum & Bass, Hip Hop and Reggae. James also performed at NASS Festival, Bruton Reggae Fest, Somerset Reggae festival and has made a number of appearances at ‘The Godney Gathering’ where he received a supporting response from the crowd. He has already had the pleasure of playing alongside many major artists like; DJ Brockie, Nicky Blackmarket, Logan D, Turno and Serial Killaz to name a few. With James’ determination, skill and passion to succeed, I am sure this DJ is going to go the distance....Amen...

I started spinning tunes as a DJ at the tender age of 16, igniting the party scene for my crew. Back in '87, I joined forces with some amazing friends to launch a mobile DJ setup that was truly epic. We'd roll up to gigs, blow the crowd away, and create memories that still make me smile. Around 2007, I began exploring the world of electronic music production, crafting my own beats and experimenting with sound. I've been DJ-Ing since about 1993 and was influenced by listening to the pirate radio stations of the time Kool F.m,Pulse F.m,Don F.m to mention a few. Me and my friends started to do mix sessions to hone our skills,from there we started to DJ on pirate stations in London, Flare F.M,Flex F.M and also started to play at club nights and university student parties all over the country. We have also been fortunate to meet and work with other prominent DJ's and have produced a tune with DJ TEE-BONE on his RIDDIM TRACK label (RIDT 14),me and my friends DJ STYLEE,MC ICEN and me myself DJ BLISS (Real Dimension) produced tracks called HIGHLIFE and THUNDERFOOT and was released back in 1998.We also got to meet and work with Bizzy B from the Joker record label.
