From the age of 12 when I first started fiddling around with my double cassette deck I've been into mixing, and generally listening to any form of electronic music. I'm heavily influenced by disco and soul. Also, the early Nude, NRK and OM Records releases - and west-coast house scene in general - made me appreciate the deeper tip of house releases as well Today I play pretty much what comes to my liking whether it's funky, soulful, disco, deep, electronic or all of the above.

House Is Life and i am addicted Been collecting music for 36 years and very proud of my vinyl collection from the 80's/90's. In my opinion the 80's was the best time for music and left me inspired by the great musicians and artists who left a legacy behind and music is still influenced by those heroes. Not afraid to experiment with sounds and always searching the globe for something a little different, and if recent releases don't cater for my needs, then there is always the archives. My Listening Genre's - House, Soulful House, Deep House, Afro House, Jazz House, Latin House, Tribal House, Lounge, Nu-Jazz, Soul, RNB, D&B, Garage, 2 Step. Music has always been my pastime and enjoyed the occasional gigs and live sets, but never really took my passion to the next level. Life is kinda hectic and faded out of the scene for a considerable time but now back to basics doing what i enjoy, pretty serious about my music and hope that i can spread some joy along the way...love peace and prosperity to all. I think music in itself is healing. It's an explosive expression of humanity. It's something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we're from, everyone loves music. Peace Love N Respect Kaleem.

Hey there!! I'm Andy and I've been DJing for a good few years now I should be a lot better at this whole mixing thing by now, obviously I'm a ridiculously slow learner but I'm getting there I think lol I finally have my dream DJ setup; 2 Denon DN-S3700's with a Behringer DDM 4000 mixer. I purposefully stayed away from Pioneers cause EVERYBODY seems to think the sun shines from 'em. My Denon's look and feel better!!! "Industry standard" whatever!!! lol. Anyway, that's my lilttle rant over. And now that I can try it I'd like to learn to stratch, so any tip and tricks would be greatfully recieved. My musical taste has broadened so much since I started mixing. When I first started I only wanted to mix Hed Kandi (back when Hed Kandi sounded good, It's gone commercial big time in recent years) though I do love funky house. I'm getting into harder dance now and absolutely love vocal trance and hope to get into mixing lots of other genres like drum n bass but I've gotta say I hate fidget electro and niche but love old school garage. "Do you really like it? Is it is it wicked? We're lovin' it lovin' it lovin' it we're lovin' it like this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" lol Anyway any tips & pointers on how I can improve from anybody long term DJs especially would be fantastic Cheers. Peace out.

Goya MusicMan, a passionate DJ, started his music journey in 1999 at just 16 years old. What began as a hobby turned into a career spanning over two decades. By 2008, he was already performing as a semi-professional DJ. He built his reputation playing at clubs like Platinum Lounge (2008-2009), Café del Khuze (2010-2012), and Dukes Grill Lounge (2011-2015). From 2016 to 2019, he became a freelancer, touring with King Maestro in various cities across South Africa. Between 2019 and 2021, he took a break from club gigs to study political science but continued making mixtapes for his podcast, The Goya MusicMan Show. In 2022, he helped create music event concepts for The Sauce Lifestyle Café in Polokwane, including the successful PLK Plastic Affair, which ran until 2024 and featured international DJs. In 2022, he was hired by Seventh House Ltd. to produce a jazz mix for Eddie Harris. Today, he runs Goya Music SA, an aspiring record label, and continues to DJ, create mixtapes, and train as a music producer under Victor Duba at Lepatata Records. His journey is all about passion, growth, and pushing boundaries in music.
