DJ Cosmic Fire - Old Skool Rave DJ From the early 90's being heavily involved in the Underground Warehouse Rave Scene, I have been a natural when it comes to choosing 12" tunes & beatmixing them, to creating the emotionally charged journey for others to follow, weather it be Hard Trance, Harder House, Hard Core, Hard Style, Hard Tech, Progressive Trance, PsyTrance, Tribal Trance & PowerTrance.Having DJ Crisis as a firstly a long time friend (at the time), then as a house mate through '93, '94 & '95, plus of course a fellow promoter back in the day, allowed me 24/7 access to the art of flat out & intense beatmixing. I assisted alot with tracks selected & set arrangments of many of released CD's & Tapes as standard issue & the result being happy HartCore Ravers aplenty - this was very fullfilling indeed.I began to get serious on the decks after my involvement in the production of my last Rave in 1996 after a full blown schedule through '93, '94 & '95, co-producing 5 Mega Successful Underground Raves, plus having moved from the Northern Beaches up to the Mid Nth Coast at the time, allowed me the time to have "the time" to get busy on the decks. In 2000, I reached peak form after a long holiday in the UK where I brought back over 500 12" tunes, adding to my already vast collection of eclectic beats. I was mixing flatout everyday after work & quickly gained a solid reputation for smooth, seamless, beatmixed sets, with epic tracks from start to finish, creating a flowing journey through the chosen Genre I released. Many a DJ currently in the limelight or aspiring to be - have emulated my style, tune choice & mixing ever since.Back in those heady days of Future Acid House, Intelligent Hard Trance & the Massive UK Hard House Explosion, many 100's of each of my CD's & Tapes reached the hands of the Raving Public, with white label tunes that were at least 9mths in front of all the top line Sydney rave DJ's. These epic mixes where were on high rotation in car stereos, Home Hi-Fi Set Ups & were even played in clubs as far as New Zealand & the United Kingdom at the time.I have assembled on my audio host site, 15 Full Length High Quality CD's of which most were produced in the studio, but some are actually “live” recordings from various gigs from that corner in time. I invite you to have a listen as a raver from past, present or future & of course, if you just like Techno based music & want to add to your collection. I guarantee that you be very happy with my mixing, track selection & arrangement. Those from the western suburbs were attending alot moreplus the commercial inner city clubbers came to the larger parties of the likes of the "Prodigy series" & of course - "Colossus". The emergence of mainstream exposure did annoy most of the original hardcore ravers who had stayed true since 1992, most felt that the mystery of the underground had been violated & was now headed for sell-out status (they were right of course). The Old School rave scene reached its peak in the mid nineties (crowd-wise) with the Colossus party in 1994, with an estimated 8000 people in attendance. I am so glad to have been at most of the events spanning 1992 right through to 1996. Anyways, whilst looking for some stuff in my Pandora's boxes the other day, I came across a number of full length high quality VHS videos of some of the most memorableraves from the old school rave era. I watched "Colossus" on theweekend in amazement with my girlfriend, who was blownaway by how everyone was so happy!!I reminisced being there back then, in that magical corner of time, apart of the explosion of mainstream rave in 1994. Althoughbeing an original hardcore raver, I really enjoyed the vibe at this party & seeing so many people from all the different scenes as one. I am digitising this party for all those who are curious asto what went down at the first large scale OLD SCHOOL MEGA PARTY in 1994 – Uploading soon .... P.L.U.R. Jase.W. :-)

Integrity Records/Plushouse Recordings/Drizzle Music/Jack Locker Recordings/CHFM / Greenhouse Recordings/ Tastie Music/ BIO I fell in love with house music at the early age of 17. The year was 1994 and the Midwest rave scene was just starting to blossom. I took a liking to the sound coming out of Chicago. Some of my early influences were; Dj Sneak, Derrick Carter, Miles Meada, Traxx, Justin Long, Cajmere and Lego. I would end up starting my DJ career on Chicago’s north side. There I worked for Sun Ra Productions and played such parties as Cosmic Cup of Cappuccino alongside Boo Williams, Derrick Carter and Robert Armani. I later made connections with Terry Martin and was booked to open up for Derrick Carter at Chicago’s very own Smart Bar. I eventually took my knowledge back to Wisconsin and joined forces with 3D Concept Entertainment. We pooled our ideas together and brought a dance mecca to the Fox Valley. Like all good things in small cities it eventually came to an end. I then took time to travel and play throughout the United States mostly in L.A., San Diego, Mexico, Phoenix and down South. I was able to bring the Chicago house sound to area's heavily influenced by breaks and drum n bass and it was received well by all. After about 4 years off from the industry i moved back to Wisconsin from my home state of Michigan. There I began to work with Epiphic, which was an up and coming house music collective ran by my good friend Michael John. We once again had a thriving house music scene back in the Appleton and Green Bay areas, which lasted for some time. Michael and I started to produce tracks for his record label Epiphic Recordings. Using the aliases of Sterling Johnson & Tyrone James we released two e.p.s on Epiphic. In 2009 I met up with an old friend and decided to start another collective, which would later turn out to be Future Funk Foundation. We worked very hard together and by 2010 we had 2 releases out on Integrity Records. I am currently working on my own solo projects. The first being The Full Spectrum e.p. which is set to be released on June 15th 2011 on Integrity Records. I would like to give a special shout out to my good friend Kay Jay of Soul Deep Collective for believing in me and inspiring me to fulfill my dreams. Sean ~ I have been listening to them all. I'm not sure if my comment got posted but this is what I wrote. "A Revolutionary Deep Soulfull Transformation of Inner Isolation and Pain, which very few Survive, into a Marching Rhythmic Beat leading others to a Safe Spot on the Planet Earth" ~P~

Follow on Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/donnychristian6 DJ PROFILE: Donny only started beatmatching at the age of 21; he always enjoyed raving to old skool garage and house music but never thought he could actually mix. It was only 'till he got messing with some MP3 mixing software (Atomix)...........then caught the bug. Instead of going down the electronic route he managed to grab some dirt-cheap Technics SL-1210 Mk3 decks & SH-DJ1200 mixer (for a bargain £500) and was soon trawling the record shops of London and eBay tracking down those rare-as-rockinghorse-sh*t tunes! Over time (and £££s spent!) he has built up a vast & extensive collection of the very best Old Skool Garage nostalgic tunes from 1997-2002; he likes to call this the 'Golden Era'. Many, many hours of practise behind the decks gave him the skills and confidence to take the plunge and jet out to Laganas, Zante in 2005 for the entire summer to share his talent. There, he immediately gained residency in Wackabout/Sabotage Club and also DJ'd guest nights at Amnesia Nightclub, Club Black & White and Footprint Beach Bar. Since his return he has played out at various bars/clubs and private functions around London & Surrey such as Wimbledon, Croydon and Clapham. Apart from Old Skool Garage, he specialises in and Funky/Disco/Electro House which has mainly been driven by his passion for anything Hed Kandi – he owns a massive collection of their CD compilations dating back since 2004. His funky house collection on vinyl ranges from 1999-Present though! Donny always has the crowd in mind and endeavours to give them what they want to hear. He loves to know his music inside-out so can drop tunes at the perfect spot to keep them jumping all night. Music-wise he is pretty versatile; he can also mix Trance and Drum & Bass. His partner in crime Mike Chadwick is also somewhat of a master around the decks who specialises in HipHip and R&B of all years so, together will always have something in their boxes for the masses! On Donny’s page you will find his proudest mixes (with no song repeats!) so try download them all. Any feedback is always appreciated so you are welcome to leave a comment on any of them. Follow Donny to be kept informed of his latest mixes. Marco was born in 1977. He was raised in Edinburgh Scotland's capital city brought up on a diet of clubs and raves and the free party seen, Marco’s first real break came in the late 90’s when he entered the Vestax DJ Mixing Competition which he was runner up in the contest, this raised his profile amongst local promoters. Which lead to him being offered a number of gigs, some of which became residencies, around his home town of Edinburgh and various other towns and Cities in Scotland this also led to him supporting artist like Mr C, Kenny Larkin, Larry Heard, Marshall Jefferson, Robert Owens, Mathew Herbert, Felix The Housecat, Seb Fontaine, Jim Shaft Ryan, Murray Richardson and Timo Mass. Marco's rise from total obscurity has been achieved due to his natural ability, genuine enthusiasm, and his constant desire to improve his craft.Technical excellence is very important to Marco, so when he is not playing out you will find him practicing, mixing and experimenting with various styles, endeavouring to constantly improve his already very impressive D.J. capabilities. Marco describes his sound as Mainroom Groovy Business a bit of tech a bit of house which meet in the middle some where and the outcome is magical , he mixes in a style that moves and grabs any dance floor, no matter what direction he chooses to take it, once he has captured you with his inventive style there is no escape until he has spun his last tune .Coming straight from the dance floor, Marco knows instinctively what it is a crowd wants, and how to deliver it, his genuine love for music is abundantly clear. Marco has also been a reviewer for English based TTR Magazine. being in constant contact with the artist’s and labels he has grown to love was a fantastic experience for him and getting to know the people behind the music and the labels has been great fun ,and the experience was invaluable “ I love music, I just could not imagine even one day with out some form of music in my life” Over the last 13 years Marco has held residencies and spun at some fantastic club nights: ,Tokyoblu @ Cabaret Voltaire, Dirty Habits New Zealand, Music Matters Sydney, Edinburgh Rocks Various, Murray Richardson's Rebel waltz @ c2, Colours Scotland various venues, Hed kandi various venues, Taste @ the Honeycomb "old and new" and Wilkie House & Cabaret Voltaire music box @ Berlin, Space Invaders @ Space, Phunkup various, Musika @ Liquid Room Acetate @ Liquid Room Retrospective Of House @ Berlin Bang @ Club Noa Beatroot @ Luna formely ego, House Technique @ Ego Flaunt @ Massa Hotty Notty @ Berlin Atomic Baby @ La Belle Angelle House Sessions @ the Honeycomb Sparkle @ the Q Bar Strictly Frisky @ City In Glasgow: Fruitfly @ the Arches, flaunt @ massa, Miss Money penny's Scotland, Cream Scotland Various, Aurall @ Mas, Cosmic Disco @ vaults, Cream @ Liquidrooms, Music box @ Berlin, Edinburgh Boat Party, Change @ Space.
