This is the most smoked out and psychedelic 1992 "jungle" mix I could think of out of my record collection.  It's certainly heavily referencing 1992 Grooverider sets as he was the master of these chilled out jungle rollers before there was such a thing.  The title comes from the fact that I was given this "Brobee" doll as a get well gift this past winter.  I hurt my knees really badly playing a bicycle trainer game called "Zwift".  I'm still recovering from this.  In fact, I'd rather be riding my Team Sky replica Pinarello Dogma right now instead of uploading this darn mix, but, I'm hurting too much.  So who ever likes this music is going to win out because I'm uploading it today.

Anyway as it turns out this "Brobee" character is from a childrens TV show called "Yo Gabba Gabba".  This show is actually quite hip and smart for a kids show.  The main character is a DJ who loves Parliament Funkadelic.  Mark Mothersbaugh from DEVO is a regular character on the show as is .... Biz Markie!  Yeah!  Biz Markie!  He gives human beat boxing lessons on the show for kids!  Mark Mothersbaugh on the other hand does a Pee Wee Herman style "Connect the Dots".  Speaking of Pee Wee, there's no coincidence there, Mark Mothersbaugh worked on Pee Wee's Playhouse so the connect the dots was likely his idea and both shows feature the same set design.  Anyway, BroBee is pretty frikken cool and he likes Raymond Scott!  Whats not to love about Raymond Scott I say?  In fact I started the set with a Raymond Scott track that I really love before going into the amen breaks.  This particular Raymond Scott track reminds me of that scene in Dragnett where that ass hole cop disturbs beatniks from their beautiful acid trip session.  I can just imagine those beatniks jammin' to this track.

This mix is my most favorite one I've done in a long while.  I can't stop listening to it myself, its just so perfect!  Thanks once again to DJ Nee for getting inspired to make a better remake of Simon Bassline Smith's dubplate of "Straight Outta Hell".  It's such a great remake.

There's a brand new track in the mix that I stumbled upon by accident on SoundCloud, Jim Z "Expedition" (Sound Cloud - WAV file burned to CDR).  I was just searching for 1994 era jungle mixed to download when this popped up on my screen as a free WAV file.  It sounded so good and true to the 1992 era.  The WAV file was actually 24 bit and my music computer is actually too old to handle that so I had to change it to 16 bit.  After playing it in the mix and listening to it later I noticed the amen break sounded very computerized and hissy.  It was noticeably lacking the warm sound of the other amen break tracks in this same mix.  I've had this problem myself when trying to make 1992 music on my computer.  I'm not sure how to fix this but I can only say that in "Expedition" this phenomenon exists.  It could be that he added too much digital EQing or digital compression effects.  My other constructive comment is that I had to pitch the track up quite a bit on the CD player to get it to fit here.  It was recorded at a 1991 type tempo, not a 1992 one.  It's a very nice track, the best 1992 revival one I've heard since DJ Nee's Straight outta hell remake.   it's very much like 1992 Grooverider set track where its one of those that you want to get into and get out of right away.  In that sense, its quite authentic to what he was going for!  Bravo sir!
