Balto
Born in Honduras, Central America. At an early age he began to like rhythmic themes, playing the drums while in school for a couple of years. Then adding some electricity to the beat playing bass guitar. When he finished university in 1998 he spent time working at the Bay Islands in the Honduran Caribbean.
In 2001 he enjoyed long summer months in the Balearic Islands of the Mediterranean Sea, it’s there were Balto decides to change those instruments for vinyl and mixes.
From then on his travels to Barcelona, Mallorca, Ibiza, Madrid, Amsterdam, Rotterdam... keeps being the mayor influence on his musical selection and mixing style.
During the first years he organized a series of events in Tegucigalpa called “Session Club”, giving the city and it’s nightlife a fresh alternative. He also started participating in beach parties as “Full moon at Bando Beach”, “New Years Eve at Roatan” and earned his residency at “Sunjam”.
In 2004 “Colors Promote Group” is created, and in 2007 “Modular” is created as a second agency dedicated to the promotion of techno.
Since then Balto keeps organizing some of the most important electronic music events of Honduras in which he shares the decks with respected international Artist. His trademark sets focus on music that keeps an interesting and active dance floor.
