Bio
I was raised in Salem, Oregon, USA; it is a city with lots of parks and [quite literally] world-class music education, but not much in the way of opportunities, community, or youth empowerment.
Music has always been my fuel, my expression, my embrace of (and escape from) myself... as a classically trained, jazz-oriented multi-instrumentalist with a strong background in music theory, much of my music defies simple categorization: I have taken to calling it Electronic Art Music, and have been producing under the name Raspberry Of The Surface for the past 14 years — half of my life now.
It does my heart good, and my most fervent hope is that it does yours some good, too.
