DJ Jon Wang - n - DJ Kiki - Live on 4 Turntables @ Taurus Unlimited

Last time DJ Kiki & I had the opportunity to throw down head-2-head on a 4 deck setup was in the spring of 2008 & this is what went down! It's a multi styled house mix that's infused with a few surprise twists-n-curve just when ya need'em. Also - In case your were wondering, No _ we didn't discuss/plan/or set up da order of our trax-n-stuff ahead of time or anything like that. That's because we already knew that we only needed 3 things & we had’em all in vast quantities! Those 3 items were; #1) Our confidence in our communication skills (soooooo very important when undertaking a task such as this - otherwise it's truly you vs. the other DJ which ends up in a futile attempt to control chaos & I've NEVER seen it work to get/keep/or win a crowd over in the end), #2) To bring about every bonus beat~beat loop 12, accapellas, trax of just music & regular songs we thought we'd wanna or get to work into the mix (cause it's all about da give & take - ya gotta be able to accent & highlight one another whenever your not the one behind the wheel because conflicting vocals, baselines that step all over each other & sour beats will all just wind up sounding like "Boots in the dryer"_ [TM-trademarked _ but if ya ask I'll let'cha use it], & #3) All that + our uncanny ability to not only know what trax we were gonna be playing 2-3 or 4 records ahead of where we were in the mix - we could just sense/feel/understand {whatever ya wanna call it} what the other was settin up 2 be doin that far in advance as well. So we just stepped up, let loose with the POWER & claimed the GLORY that we'd created! P.S. Yes, there were a couple of minor slips that were caught-n-corrected before they got away from us to become noticeable, but hey! That's cause it's @ a live performance & besides if your gonna Mixmaster PC any piece/part/or section of anything proclaimed as "live", Well kid - you ain't playin your just perpetrating.
