Bio
Emz bought her first pair of turntables in 2007, after influences like The Prodigy, rave packs and a desire to learn turntablism. The mixing kept flowing and trips to the record store started a collection spanning from liquid, dance floor to jump up and darker beats.
Emz started playing out at open deck nights at The Vaults from around 2009 and got a set at Krookz Inc,
run by Shookz & Devize in Derby in 2010. She has supported many local nights
including Bass Fever, Deckadance, Bloom, HiFi, 12 Inch,
Hardskool, Timewarp, Redemption (Long Eation) and Prestige. Also helping to co-run a night called Sonix.
In
2012 she won the Ubeatz DJ Competition in Leicester judged by Marc
Disfunktion, Kopeius Luke and Glamour, and since then played at DNA
Sessions in Leicester and more recently in Bristol for the Liam Loves
Fundraiser in June 2013.
Emz is all about the beats, the bass, and selection!
