Born into a world of guitars, drum kits and trilbys the man we now know as Dicky never felt quite at home. Something was missing. In the summer of 2007 Dicky was introduced to something new and exciting. House music. It began with one song. Dark beat. A simple premise. Kick drum, a dirty bassline and an eeeeerie voice telling him exactly what he was thinking. From then on dicky has been a slave. 6months later after some serious downloading Dicky was up to date with a new and exciting world. A basic understanding of kick drums, hi hats, snares and samples was all it took to take him on a journey through sound. Dickys first chance to shine came in an unusual fashion. While spending time across the pond in sunny California Dicky was offered the chance to play his first gig. Not in a club, not in a bar, not at a wedding. At a weekend festival in a nudist camp in the forests of the San Francisco Bay area. Sorted. Turning up not knowing what to expect with a bag of tricks and a hunger for house he smashed it in front of 20 naked free spirited festival goes. Not a huge audience but intimate to say the least. It was enough to give him that awesome feeling that can only come from playing loud, sexy house music to people who just want to dance.
