This winter of 2019 brought us some of the coldest weather experienced in over a decade. Below freezing temps ravaged just about all of the United States. Snow fell on deserts like in Las Vegas, Nevada. A phenomenon that only happens about once every decade. While cozy in my studio in Fayetteville, Arkansas, I did what any other DJ would during the inhospitable weather. I made myself a warm drink and got to mixing.
I've been enjoying the new sounds of progressive house lately. It's deeper and more melodic with very strong techno roots. Reminds me of the sounds before Y2k came around. So I've been digging in the virtual crates and selecting some tracks that take me back to that time without being so nostalgic about it.
