Dancin' Mark "Connoisseur of deep and energetic dance grooves with diverse beats and vocals blended to create an upbeat, spirited, and positive vibe." That is how Mark describes himself as a DJ. Mark's musical inspirations from his childhood and many years in the NYC club scene helped to bring life to what would become one of his biggest passions. It was during his childhood in the 80's and teenage years in the 90's that Mark would be inspired by the different sounds and styles of music listened to by the elders in his household as well as in the world around him. R&B, Gospel, Hip Hop, House, Reggae, Funk, Jazz, Rock, and New Wave became favorites of his. For Mark music is a universal art form that unites people of various ages, races, and cultures. This unity is what drives Mark to enjoy what he does as his goal is to provide great experiences for other regardless of their background. Today this translates into sets with hand picked selections from varied artists, genres, and decades along with remixes of well known songs to really capture the ears of anyone present. A member of Kunjan Collective (www.kunjancollective.com) and very active in the Fairfield County, CT. and Westchester County, NY. and New York City, NY. communities, Mark is no stranger to performing at some of the most exclusive venues and events in and out of his home state of Connecticut. Some of the places he has performed include New York City, Port Chester, NY., White Plains, NY., Greenwich, CT., Stamford, CT., Norwalk, CT., Westport, CT., Darien, CT., Boston, MA., and the Alive @ 5 Concert Series 2014 opening set for Ed Kowalcik and closing set for The Beach Boys. Mark also hosts two radio shows. Groove Affection and its spin off Groove Affection Guest Mix Series which are broadcast live and alternate every Wednesday on www.ChillLoverRadio.net that is heard in over 146 countries worldwide. These broadcasts have helped him expand his fan base beyond the borders of the U.S.A to places as far as Europe, Russia, Canada, Asia, and South America. Though he loves performing in restaurants, lounges, nightclubs, and special events, his love for music goes beyond the spectrum of mixing tunes. Mark enjoys travel and takes every opportunity to explore new places to be able to experience new music, cultures, and connect with others around the world. "For me it's all about that depth and positive energy found in many diverse styles and formats across the musical spectrum put together much like a gourmet chef puts together a tasty menu. I love playing songs that can be nostalgic, cause you to nod your head, urge you to get up out of your seat and dance, or just put you into a feel good mood."
