Damon Kaiser aka DefCon1, started DJ'ing in 1991 at the age of 19. His breakthrough came in 1993 when he and Harold Kuppers premiered the influential Portland, OR house nightclub, Panorama. Since then, he has performed from coast to coast, including cities such as Seattle, Tacoma, Portland (OR), San Francisco, Atlanta, Miami, West Palm Beach, Orlando, Daytona, Jacksonville, Melbourne (FL), and Tampa. He has also formed, with fellow DJ's Chris Savenetti and Matinee Cowboy, the Vinyl Tribe collective and record label. DefCon1 now lives back in the Pacific Northwest, where he has a monthly residency at The Tempest Lounge, and numerous guest appearances in the region spinning a unique fusion of house, electro, old skool, and dubstep.
