Ever notice how it seems all the deep house mixes have booty and mostly naked ladies on them Dont get me wrong I love that stuff. But it seems cheap to sell your music that way. So I try to avoid that in favor of something a bit more artistic. Id prefer the music speak for itself that way. Cause it does. Just my opinions.

I had a new experience recently. While playing my bassy ghetto house nudisco at an after house club they apparantly liked it so much the sound guy cranked the volume until the walls were literally shaking. I could hear the wood on the DJ booth buzzing. It was a massive system and sounded awesome. And then the cops showed up and made us stop. So yea I think thats an achievement or something right

While listening through some nu disco downloads I came across a few tracks by The Beatangers and was like hey this is not like the rest of this stuff. It hard hitting ghetto tech west coast style. Im not sure why this is considered nudisco but I like it. So I threw together a set of that feel and Ghetto Disco shook the house and the playa. Dias De Los Disco is more of the same following up on that sound but smoothing it out some. House Call buolt on that again following the call of bassline Chicago house and funky UK garage and working that somewhere between hard hitting bass and sexy deep house. That one may well be the best Ive done yet. But its that punchy ghetto tech thats really lighting my parties so well see where that goes for a bit. In the mean time check out Dubterranean Dreams for some deep dubby chill that will blaze your mind. I spun that with intent for healing vibes for a friend in the hospital and it turned out better than I had imagined. Sometimes they just fall together that way.

Really feelin the slower tempos lately. around 125 or 126bpm seems to be my sweet spot lately.

Wickerman was outstanding. Great party great crowd Audio Feel Ya was packed good. And much music. Ill havea few sets to upload from this one I was pretty busy this weekend. Lots of tribal goodness.

holy crap have I found a lot of tech tribal lately. Finally what Ive been looking for. Th next couple sets are gonna be intresting.

I think Ive finally gotten the Tech Tribal Ive been working towards. Roots hits a deep vibe that drives hard but keeps that poly rhythmic complexity I love about tribal. I did a lot of adding in of beats from other decks to build those tribal basslines and take control of the energy. Yea Im digging that one a lot. I suspect there will be more of this too.

Since doing The Fool something has changed in my mixing. Im getting the progressive flow in a way I hadnt before. Everything Ive done since has been at such a higher level. Im loving whats been coming out of the regular radio show slow lately. Im quite proud of it.

So I did a progressive technoy set on April Fools Day and decided to call it The Fool and use the tarot card for the image. Then I got the idea maybe I should do 21 more and finish the arcana. Call it an exercise to focus my work for a bit. So I gave a go at another deep techno set for The Magician but it turned out to deep so I had to make it the High Priestess. So this isnt going to go in order but where I find them appropriate Im going to continue to the project until I get them all. this might take awhile
