Alright the songs I picked this week were on some real personal shit.  I saw “Straight Outta Compton” and when I heard this outtake cut, I was like “now that’s the Dre I love”.  This is a great song.  SB Da G “Head Held High” (SB just keep bring em…) and we found a cut by a young lady out of New York Blu Gem (this video model got bars #LSMH).   We judge tracks by 5 industry metrics (Demograph, Industry, Market, Song and Mix).   Here’s the stats:

Dr Dre “Im Just Talking To My Diary” (84BPMS )

Off the top this is a great cut (what I expect from Dr Dre…).  This cut is very scenic and it was a perfect closing track for the movie “Straight Outta Compton”.  This track led in the Industry Metric (14… Come its Dre) and the Mix Metric (14… Once again it’s Dre).  The movie made this industry hyped and the industry was really behind this movie.  The track is not a single yet but #FRFR it’s a smoker…. (This is another Dre classic) 66.7 pts (B grade)

SB Da G “Head Held High” (88BPMS)

This Mobile Alabama battle rapper just keeps em coming off his “Make Em Pay” mixtape (DatPiff), This cut right here is one of the best written indie songs I’ve heard in a moment.  This cut is almost too strong for an indie because it takes real bread to break this kinda music (this is grown hiphop and it takes more to get the message out…).  He scores highest in the Mix Metrics (13…This will be a mixtape favorite)) and Industry (10… The battle rap provides a niche and fans).  SB Da G is a real find and believe me, he’s gonna get to the next level…. (Great lyric and Production….) 52.4 pts (C grade)

Blu Gem “Drop A Gem” (92bBPMS)

For real for real, ma is crazy fine #KillingIt.  But Blu Gem is the truth (I don’t know what’s going on in New York that fine girls like Blu can’t get out of New York.  I do but that’s another article #lsmh).  She scores highest in the Mix metrics (12... Dj’s will be surprised by her flow #DjLove) and Industry Metrics (10… New York New York) I loved this track and its real New York.  Great Lyrics and cadence (she was working with Consequence from my info...).  Like I said I loved this track but this cut might be too New York.  Blu Gem is a social media monster and her music should reflect mass market situations   Gem you need to get a Dj Mustard track.  No disrespect to your crew (this track is hot) but your image is bigger than your music.  Because you are so fine you have to have a real hit (with Chris Brown featuring #LSMH).  This lady is truly blessed with a million dollar image and she’s gonna need million dollar music #ijs.  IG is worldwide and the world will expect worldwide hit music (there is nothing indie about her image) …. (Million Dollar Image need a million dollar hit) 46.8pts(C- grade)

That’s this week’s GetAtMe Top 3 Picks
