With his infusing mix of Dutch, Vocal, Tech and Experimental House he has proven himself on numerous as a serious contender within the scene. His passion for DJ'ing came when he was 16, purchasing his first set of Stanton Turntables he took for various DJ'ing schools in the area to learn the basics. From that, he self taught to beat match using Vinyl and later progressed to CDJ's. Now at the age of 23, he continues his reign on the dance scene with Traktor Scratch Pro and LIVE production modules.
"Traktor Scratch PRO has to be the best piece of equipment i have purchased to-date. It's innovative feature set allows me to concentrate a lot more on the correct music selections for my sets, no rushing involved and I can even pre-edit my sets so that i have all my CUE points in place for when i use various acapella's and looping positions. I recently purchased the Kontroller X1 to run alongside my performances which has further enhanced the experience that people will have when they come to see me".
As a DJ, he is well-known for bringing only the best tracks together with flawless precision… Inspired by a whole range of Artist’s from his many year’s of being an avid club dweller, but in particular – Swedish House Mafia where it all started for HOUSEJAK, and currently Joachim Garraud, Laidback Luke and Bart B More not only for there fantastic productions but also there mind blowing techniques.
But it is not just his technical skills that separate HOUSEJAK from the rest as his creative abilities and imaginative style always shines through when he hits the decks, never failing to impress. Before every gig he always makes sure that he has only the freshest material to play, along with various acapella's and special edits which help him bridge the gap between the various genre's. This helps to make his set's one off, masterpieces!
New to production, HOUSEJAK has just begun his studio work using Ableton Live 8. Trying to blend trends together such as Dutch and Tech House, he breaks the boundaries of traditional dance music, his open minded attitude allows him to to remix and produce anything- with precision.
HOUSEJAK's ability to play so many different genres of dance music has fast seen him rise to the top and become a must see DJ. Whether he is playing a warm up house set or a pumping Dutch / Tech House peak time set, he is one to watch!
HOUSEJAK reached the UK King of the Decks competition final back in 2009, out of thousands of entrants, beating off some of the most technically talented DJ's in the country.
