After 30 years the 'Lost Sasha Mix' is finally found and identified as "Sasha Mix Shelleys 14th December 1990". (Credit to SBradyman of tracklistings.co.uk who tracked it down and sent it my way). The sound quality wasn't great (and gosh.... even some of the mixing! Well it was a live set so we'll forgive him), so I have reconstructed both sides here for posterity and better sound etc. There are a couple of minor mixing point differences to improve things for my own ear, but on the whole fairly faithful. (Interesting tidbit - the 'Red Mecca Sura Kijame' track only appears once on any Sasha mix tape to our knowledge. Perhaps it wasn't a great club tune - but it's a nice Eastern sounding track. Back in 1990 this tape came my way after a night at 'Monroes' near Blackburn and inspired me in early 1990 to start mixing. I'm sure I wasn't the only one. The tape was borrowed by a friend and so it lived on in my memory. Hope you enjoy and please leave a comment if you do!
