Lairdriver A DJ and Producer based in Toronto, Canada. He began releasing music in 2011 with his first single ‘Suppose To’ which debuted on the ’6N7 Music’ label. Currently Lairdriver has over 40 releases in circulation which are a combination of original works and remixes for other artists. As a DJ, Lairdrivers’ skills reflect over 16 years of experience. His roots as a DJ began in 1998 and over the years he became a regular fixture for over a decade within the North American Rave and Warehouse Party scene. He is passionate about the philosophy of using only the finest tracks arranged and mixed in an impeccable manner and the articulation of set building. His sets reflect his overall attitude towards music production – no limits and always learning. Lairdrivers’ production sound is a versatile and complex array of melding genres and blurring borders. His very unique sound is always pushing boundaries as he transcends his emotion into recreating himself with every track and it’s production exercise. He is heavily influenced in organic and layered sound design which is a direct reflection of his musical roots in classical Piano. Seeing himself as a composer, he approaches his production work in a non linear format and ignores the temptation to produce within the traditional definitions that accompany genres. His signature sound is his deep and melodic Deep House and Tech House. He also produces in the Ambient and Down Tempo genres as well as composing original Piano pieces where he blends traditional blues and jazz with a modern touch. Lairdriver currently has releases on 6N7 Music, Champion Beats, Appliqué Music, Gold N Tech Records, Capital Boom Records, Maloos Music, Sannex Music, and Fine Grind Audio . His production work has been featured in many compilations from Labels such as Straight Up Music , Reka Prika , Insomnia and others.
