Introduced at a young age to a large variety of music, in the sleepy town of Bellingen on the Mid North Coast of Australia, where its atmosphere, energy and range of music that filled the streets enhanced and nurtured Matt Ingle's curiosity, leaving him exposed to styles ranging from Hip Hop to Heavy Metal. This soon lead to the discovery that Matt possessed a talent that could not be taught, a natural ear for music that blossomed when his father Bryan Ingle gave him his first guitar, and he taught himself his favourite songs.
The naivety of a younger Matt first experienced trance at the global festival held in Bellingen where he didn't recognise the style of music but was immediately drawn into the journey that was presented before him enticed by the range of sounds. This encouraged Matt to expand his musical interest and knowledge through experimenting and creating music with the help of specific software programs until when in a life altering move to Sydney, Matt found his true calling and begun producing progressive, melodic and psychedelic sounds in his own interpretation of Trance.
Matt soon caught the attention of the respected trance event organiser and well known DJ, Ruby of Ruby dance, who although unaware at the time would play a key role in making Matt Ingle a well known name on the scene and be pleasantly surprised himself by the unsurpassed talent that exceeded expectations, in Matt's first appearance at Unity in Sydney's largest and popular nightclub Arq. Matt: “I was a little overwhelmed with the response I got after my main set. So many people came up to say they loved the set and how I kept them on the floor. I just really enjoyed playing the music I loved, and having the crowd feeding off my energy and the music I was playing, pure bliss!”
Dabbling in different types of music and honing in on his skills, Matt continued to surprise and dazzle crowds never resting on his laurels he heightened his creative curve inspired after his brush with fame at Sublime held in Home Nightclub, where he played the closing set after Jon O'Bir. Matt: “When I read the lineup I was taken aback. I had to re-read the flyer. Jon O'Bir is one of my favourite producers, I was really excited to play along side him and get to know him.” A surprising and unexpected twist Matt was eager to please and impress the crowd, Ruby and of course Jon O'Bir. Overwhelmed in his assumption for the international standard of music, Matt fumbled his first track and had to read the crowd to recover. Matt: “I was a bit nervous following Jon O'Bir, I was unsure I would be up to his International standard. So I decided to play a he
