Atlantic Canadian DJ, Mizz Leiya, is a relative newcomer to the EDM scene, but that hasn’t slowed her down one bit. She was born into a musical family, and hasn't stop rockin' since! Mizz Leiya became involved in the entertainment industry from a young age, taking tap, jazz & hip hop dance classes and learning to play snare & bass drum in marching bands and saxophone in a stage band. When she was young, and first heard Darude, Chris Sheppard & MC Mario, she knew she had to be a DJ. Fortunately, DJ Sonny D took her under his wing, and taught her his craft, and as a result, she is living the EDM dream today and loving it! She loves many styles of music, but is passionate for electro beats. Mizz Leiya loves to feed off the vibe of the crowd while spinning a vast array of genres, including Club Bangers, Electro, UK House, Dubstep, Moombahton and Dancehall. Her versatility for genres and venues is her strong point. Her overall musical influences are eclectic and include The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Depeche Mode, Run DMC, Beastie Boys, Billy Idol, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Coldplay, Cancer Bats, Bloc Party, MSTRKRFT, & U2. Electronically, her influences include Deadmau5, Dada Life, Nero, Noisia, Kaskade, Hardwell, Calvin Harris, The Prodigy, Melleefresh, Knife Party, Afrojack & Pretty Lights. This girl’s sets are high energy and are sure to have the dancefloor bumping! Hot off a residency at Rouge Premiere Lounge-Moncton NB, and gigs at Rain-Saint John NB, Peakes Quay–Charlottetown PE, & the Moncton Alehouse, Mizz LeiYa is ready to rock the party!
