Playhouse Presents Mr Browne @ Revolution, Ipswich June 30 2017

Yes People !

I did a friend a favour by opening the night for their
promotion at Revolution in IPSWICH.  The
establishment is a typical town centre public house, restaurant & nightclub
trying to wear too many hats  in my
opinion and not a purpose built club. 
With this in mind I wasn’t expecting much of a turnout so decided not to
waste time crafting a set for an audience and play exactly how I would play if
I was in my studio.  Upon arrival I had
to wade through all the wildlife in the main bar and navigate my way through
what seemed to be a labyrinth, then climb a winding staircase  to arrive at my goal…. the DJ booth. My
immediate thought was “if I found it this hard to find how will anyone
else”.   After some minor technical issues I was able
to take a large gulp from my beer which by this time I needed and smash out
this set.   In truth I am going to avoid
entering this public house franchise in future, simply not my crowd.
