Nu Lab was brought up listening to Jazz, Blues, Classical and Rock n Roll music from a very early age and has always had a passion for music. After learning various instruments such as the guitar, trumpet and keyboard in and outside of school, he decided to further his education at Northampton Booth Lane College in 2005 where he was introduced to Drum & Bass. After this Nu Lab started mixing under his then current alias ‘Skepsis’ and played sets around the midlands including the mighty Random Concept playing there three times. Since then Nu Lab has decided to further his education and become much more involved with the production of music, studying a HND in Urban and Electronic Music Production in Worcester and is now topping up to a full degree in Music Technology with Management in Stafford. During this time in education he helped run events for Fingerprint Promotions, which has hosted some of the biggest names in Drum & Bass such as Mampi Swift and MC Fearless. Most presently he has created a brand new House Label ‘Clinical Records’ with fellow label owners ‘Detail’ and ‘InnerTone’ and is also producing nonstop. 2014 will be a big year for Nu Lab as he begins to push his house music through Clinical.
