Back in April Resident Advisor released a feature called ‘What Happened to Tech House?’ it discussed the decline in the genre, while I must agree some of the stuff released today is truly shocking (sawtooth aplenty), I still feel there is still life in the old dog yet if done right, still some great tracks being released you just need to wade through the generic sample pack shit to get to them.
So let me present my latest offering ‘Tribal Rhythms’, as you can guess by the title it’s all about the drums, featuring tracks by Tech House stalwarts Chus & Ceballos and Steve Mulder along with the new generation of producers coming to the fore. I end the mix with a mental acid influenced banger by Francis Xavier.
