Opening track…. - The little church organ bit leading to a NICE DROP at the 2:00 mark. Jocelyn Brown's SCORCHING vocals, droppin' foot bass guitar FUNK! Her vocals tap into some prime MJacks with the range and energy. 9:20 - The cooldown. Female vocal loop, "I wanna touch you," flowin' bass guitar with digital orchestral strings. 14:05 - Yep. Male vocals, SOLID bass guitar, mid-1980s Debarge and Prince vibez. 19:15 - YEAH MAN. Female vocals, GROOVIN' synth \\0//. The track's called "It's not over," but I couldn't figure out which version. Deffo has that late 90s Hedkandi flavaz. 31:30 - Timeless Luther Vandross, "Never too much." Vets will instantly recognize the guitar lick. 35:00 - HOT. Female vocals, "I'm thinkin' of you," sneaky dance floor joint \\0//. 40:30 - STOMPIN, uplifting \\0// \\0//. 45:00 - Female vocals, marching cadence & strings. 48:30 - Whew! Female vocals, CATCHY GROOVE. 53:15 - HA! Female vocals, what stands out is The Temptations, "Papa Was a Rollin' Stone 1972" influence. 57:00 - Coda. Back to the same track from 48:30.




- I have to give props to DJ Ari's Style on track consistency. The set has an optimistic theme. It has some of the most familiar tracks/melodies I've heard this year. It represents a timeline of Nu Soul & Nu Disco jams from 1996-2015. Without a tracklist naming these by artist & title will stomp the most keen collectors. One thing for sure, you've heard these tracks in your lifetime and will get that same JOY BUZZ enthusiasm. (1 hr - Retro Grooves!)
