When picking up the guitar with aspirations of becoming a musician, interests soon changed directions towards a darker more soothing sound. Learning the ropes from good friend DJ John Thomas, Appel experimented with Infusion, Eric Morillo, Fischer Spooner, and others before landing onto a set of cool beats that take people for a ride. Now inspired mostly be Hernan Cattaneo, Appel adds Zabiela, Sasha, Phonique, and even Thievery on occasion.
