Heralding from the great land of Gloucestershire and drawn to the neon lights of the big smoke and the wafting fragrance of BBQ jerk chicken from a Brixtonian grill, she had ARRIVED… with 20p in her pocket. So our rags to near riches or just making the rent story propels us into the present day. A producer first and DJ-ing followed, so she could share her phat tunes with the rest of the world. With a bass to rattle your guts and a dirty mellifluous electro sound, DJ Laura Brown amalgamated her own tunes and others on the over used phrase “wheels of steels” but she did so with a passionate shoulder rock and fist to punch the air.
