TRAP/HIP HOP/R&B - 160 TO 87 BPM - Years ago around the time Skrillex exploded onto the scene as a virtual hurricane, a colleague turned me onto the Dubstep of the day. I was immediately compelled by some subliminal urge to mix hip hop with dubstep and started producing sets that mixed the two genres. After a while, Dubstep lost much of its popularity and I ceased making those kinds of sets. Trap has evolved into a very similar genre since then. Since it's my birthday I felt like making something really sick today, so I sourced material from The Beatport Trap/Hip Hop/R&B charts to create a set that rocked hard like those mixed genres sets that I used to make. A lot of talented artists on this including some familiar names from those crazy Dubstep days I just referred to. A big shout out goes to DJ Fixx who has 8 tracks in this set as well as Borgore, DJ Snake, Excision, GRAVEDGR, NGHTMRE, Skrillex and Yellowclaw on this one. Stay safe, peace...Hoode out.
