This started out as a celebration of the sort of early 90's house music I used to get up and jump to. It fast became a celebration of one of the greatest house labels to ever emerge. To date, I have completed 4 volumes in this mix series from the Strictly Rhythm label, all of which are available here for your enjoyment.
It has been very popular since its emergence in 2013 and no small wonder, with so many classics on offer under one roof: Hardrive's "Deep Inside" is the defining track from that era; "Luv Dancin", with its funky bass line and jazzy snare drum, and that flute!; DJ Pierre's 'Wild Pitch' mixes of "Muzik" and "Master Blaster" are my absolute personal favourites, even now.
The title on this volume IS a tad misleading because, although this is a Strictly Rhythm mix it is not STRICTLY a Strictly Rhythm mix. 3 of the 14 tracks here were released under the React label, on their 'Kinky Trax' series. But I just had to add them in as they are too good & the sound is indistinguishable :)
