Before I got into mixing, I made endless amounts of compilation CDs. I came across a box of CDs in my loft the other day and found one such CD, a compilation I made of Hospital Records releases from 2000-2002. This was the era in which I made my way from Acid Jazz into DnB for the first time, and Hospital's DnB had just the right mix of funk, soul & beats to keep me interested. This mix is a celebration of that first initiation. I have called it 'That Hospital Sound' because it is not just a Hospital mix; there are a few rogue tracks from other labels thrown in, too, but they are very well-suited to the sound I was hoping to achieve.
These are mostly full-length 12" versions, mixed at 88 bpm. I used the best quality sound sources available, and even then it isn't great in some parts, but I did the best I could with the material on hand. Enjoy! :)
