D-Vox is a dj of 15 years, influenced by artists across genres. From mixing hard trance/hard house in her bedroom, inspired by Tiesto, she then found house, techno & dnb. D-Vox is also a versatile vocalist/lyricist. She has developed a unique ability to accompany instrumental DNB, house & techno tracks within her sets with live, melodic vocals. D-Vox host her own show 'D-Vox & Guests at www.afro-disiac.co.uk every 2nd Fri of the month 10-12am. She also airs mixes every Tues (Trance), Sat (House) & Sun (Techno) on www.beats2dance.com. She has also hosted on Progressive Beats Radio, Germany & VoiceFM 103.9 Soton. In 2017 she played for 3 months in Maldives, joined the 'Darkest Before Dawn' Parasol Ibiza Tour & will be playing on the ANHP tour in Ayia Napa 2018 with her partner DJ XJ. Originating from sunny Bournemouth town and loving every second of dj life down on the UK South Coast is XJ. A passionate and meticulous dj whose pin point precision mixing, together with sensational tune selection has his crowds up and glued to the dance floor. XJ applies his sharp and seamless style predominantly to Drum & Bass, House, Trance and Hard Dance, but also enjoys the challenge of dabbling in other genres. XJ has had music running through his veins since birth and began getting more closely involved with music at the age of 13 when he picked up the mic and tried his hand at being an mc. After a few years on the mic XJ had the urge to mix and started messing around on a few of his friends decks. He then became a family man at an early age so XJ took some time out from the music scene and in 2005, he finally acquired his own setup. After a couple of years playing his vinyl at every chance he could get, XJ was ready to play out in his home town. He got involved with some local events and played at several Bournemouth hot spots including The Old Fire Station, Empire, Dusk till Dawn and DNA. When XJ attended university in 2010 he met a few like-minded dance music enthusiasts and together they launched their first drum and bass event Fracture in Bournemouth at the club Dusk Till Dawn. After the success of this event XJ’s passion and drive grew and the rest is history. His monthly residency at SoHo has become a regular hot spot for the local, house hungry bar hoppers. In 2017 XJ toured around Ibiza for his debut on the clubbing island, supporting the Parasol Ibiza Tour in association with Darkest Before Dawn Records. In 2018 he took his skills and sound to Ayia Napa as a resident DJ for Ayia Napa House Party hosted by House Party Events, along with house legend Junior Jack and 48 other national and international djs. In 2019 XJ returned to Ayia Napa with House Party Events alongside his fellow residents and up and coming djs Craig Knight, Franky Wah and Hot like Detroit. Next up in June 2019 will be XJs first festival slot, Home Farm Fest in Somerset, followed by his next summer booking at the largest festival in Wales: Logic Festival. The next step for XJ is production so watch this space! 49 year old from Croydon, South London. Been DJ'ing since i was around 16. Break danced and rapped my way through the early 80's before discovering house music. Pretty much raved my way through the rest of the 80's and 90's. I played on pirate radio for a couple of years and just loved witnessing the evolution of house music from it's early beginnings.

We are both avid Dj's and have a deep love of music in all it's genres. We love the art of Djing at its finest and support those new and old. We have sat by for many years listening to lots of mixes from those who can truly blend and those who think they can. Our mission is to listen to as many mixes as we can weekly and add our comments. This will be an honest assessment so some may not like what they read but if this pushes those to improve then a happy days. I got interested in House Music when Iwas 15 working as a glass collector, I continued to go clubbing and raving at the time, and got my first set of decks when I was 21, I Dj'ed for some years, had a few gigs at various venues and had my residency at Bar Beyond in Newcastle, I had to give this up due to ill health and I had to sellmy much loveddecks, which was a hard decision to make, I have recently got back into Dj'ing and am enjoying it again as much as I used to do. My equipment these days is a Reloop Terminal Mix 4 and Serato Dj :) And I dont use the SYNC Button!! Keep The Music Strong !!
