WAREHOUSE-PARTY-GENERATION
WAREHOUSE-PARTY-GENERATION

WPG & HARDCORE UPROAR is run by some of the original warehouse party organisers. WPG has been running old skool events for the last 8 years. Over that time we have worked very hard to make our night stand out from the rest! We keep the vibe alive by playing what was played at the 89 to 91 warehouse parties. We are now in our 6th year and we're planning to move forward to give you that slice of the past when only the party mattered... Peace :)

SleepingWater
SleepingWater

First drawn to rock, then hip hop, SleepingWater was ultimately won over by house music and the free party world and immediately connected with the underground electronic music community. After spending some time learning his craft and making some key contacts, this music expert was noticed for his great knowledge of music and skills at the turntables. This gave him the opportunity to share the bill with several big names of the techno scene such as Iguana, Frekhao, and Teknambule, to name but a few. Very well received in Marseille, he soon performed with local artists in several top venues of southern France. He was selected as the official DJ for a makeup event at the Make up shop (MAC) in Marseille and was also closely involved in the launch of Collectif DTC with DJ Eneko, whose sounds and sets are essentially hard minimal/techno. Various encounters led him to join the emerging Electrocute collective, the organization Teknicolor and the association Family Smile. He has also been behind the electro swing projects launched at Yoraskyora. He was discovered and supported by the promoter Musical Therapy and eventually joined this Marseille-based entity as artistic director. SleepingWater is featured on the Metric System Volume 1 compilation released in January 2015 and on the Artists In Action compilation by the end of 2015. He is currently working on an Album for the begining of the 2016. He is humble, passionate about his craft and amazingly adaptable. By tapping into a surprisingly rich musical world, he can adjust his sets to better suit his current state of mind and every situation. This rich music background is reflected in his mixes and productions. Hard to label, he produces both ambiance music and tracks for the dance floor. Sometimes minimal, sometimes , Ambiant, techno, trance, Acid or hip hop, his musical world is very broad and he strives to avoid restricting himself to any specific genre. During the second half of 2014, he decided to separate his work and ethics into two categories. Thus was born his alias Vulcain, under which he decided to put forth his "underground" productions. He still uses his pseudonym SleepingWater for his "mainstream" productions and DJ sets.

UUSVAN
UUSVAN

UUSVAN / DJ / Producer / Remixer My name is Sven. Born in 1969 from Tallinn. House music came into my life and took it's most part. I just enjoyed the music and played when I can. Searching for new styles, search for myself led to the House sound, nowadays I try to do music in different directions. With age, attitudes have changed and my heart told me that I belong to deep house, progressive house, deep techno /soulful & funky & Disco & jackin house. Now I am not yet a simple listener but I want to create and produce my sensations, share emotions and the power of the dance with other persons. Now I like also deep house / minimal house / funky groove and soul. Thanks for your visit. All comments are welcome. https://www.beatport.com/artist/uusvan/590354 https://www.instagram.com/uusvan/ https://hearthis.at/uusvan/ https://mixupload.com/UUSVAN

He made his first tentative forays into the music world in the punk era of the late 70s. After singing with a few anarcho punk bands, during which he gigged around the UK and appeared on vinyl a few times in the early-mid 80s with Hex, he acquired a cheap synth/keyboard just in time for the acid-house Summer of Love, and began making underground electronic music. His tunes were inspired by the techno end of the early house scene (Model 500 etc.), the trippy psychedelia he’d grown to love (Gong, Hillage, Hawkwind, Hendrix, Zappa, Led Zep etc.) and the harder edge of his old political punk favourites (Crass, Conflict, Subhumans, Flux of Pink Indians etc.), and he went on to DJ at a few parties in the early 90s when he was heavily into the rave/old-skool-hardcore scene (before it lost the dark breaks vibe and became all ‘happy’), but was unable to pursue mixing/production very far back then due to ‘adverse’ circumstances. In the mid 90s he took a change of direction and got into writing. He moved to Crewe for 2 years of a Humanities degree at a faculty of Manchester Met Uni, majoring in Creative Writing, with an elective in Film Studies (which influenced his next change of direction), where he enjoyed a spell of performing poetry (as he had done in Hex as well as singing) before he was kicked out for partying too much. In the late 90s, after a couple of lean years back in Sunderland, he moved to Leeds where he graduated from the Northern Film School and was involved in the making of numerous films, including his own feature-lengthed documentary “No Blood for Oil”, which documented the protests leading up to, and during the 2nd Gulf War with Iraq: Crass donated 2 tracks free of charge to a film that he lovingly crafted the soundtrack for with electronic music from his old Sunderland friend in Leeds, Steve Brown. It headlined the Leeds International Film Festival underground film event in 2001(?). In the mid-late ‘noughties’, he returned to the music scene to make live gig videos for local acts/venues/promoters to use on-line. Then he began making underground electronic music again, using his cinematic skills to make his own no-budget ‘promo’ vids. Close friends with local punk/ska/dub/hip-hop/d&b outfit China Shop Bull (then Fulibulbus), he went on tour with them to make a feature-lengthed tour documentary, and followed it up with several others. In 2010, he signed up with Putz Records of Rio de Janeiro for the electronic release of his “Quantum Quandary” minimal techno EP, and signed a contract for a feature film script he can’t say anything more about until it goes into production. As well as producing, DJing, filmmaking, and writing, he promotes gigs for local music-related community causes (Unity Day, RPCC, Oblong, Cloth Cat), and helps run the weekly Fenton Boogie open-mic/jam at The Fenton, Leeds. His recent musical output encapsulates numerous genres/sub-genres: hard, minimal and acid techno, tech-house, old/nu skool and ambient breaks, d&b/jungle, dubstep, dark and dirty electro, etc. The 2 tracks from the EP can be bought via Juno downloads, whilst up to now, and a couple are on compilation Lps, the rest of his 160+ tracks and mixes are all available on-line as free downloads.

Astropony
Astropony

Being rocked by music to sleep since he was a child, Astropony became a fan of "synthetic" musics and grew up with them. He has been influenced by various music styles, from Disco, New Wave, New Beat to Alternative Rock, and off course by all electronics music pioneers. At the age of 16 he spent his weekends in clubs and bars in a northern French town called Lille and in Belgium, listening and dancing on « Techno » sounds. In 2000, he decides to move behind the decks and spends the next 2 years on a Lille local radio station that specialized in electronics musics: Galaxie He also starts to play in bars, clubs and parties in Paris, Lille and in Belgium. Before the covid situation he played on weekly radio show on different stations such as RPL (Lille- France), Néo Radio (Belgium), ... Started mixing in the late 80's,with house music like orbital,klf,8o8 state etc and the chicargo/detroit scene that was big around that time and moved right through into the beginning of Belgium techno and hardcore scene and into Jungle/ D&B from 92 onwards aswel. Would mix most styles of dance music from house to progressive, garage and big beat etc. If it had a beat and I had enough tunes for a mix id mix it. Loving the Hardcore Breaks / Nu skool Breaks scene at the moment, thats keeping the old skool scene going.I've never prepped or worked out a mix ever, just cue the first two and of i go with just the tunes laid out in front of me.This way i feel the music and vibe more and its where i get my kick, mixing the way it should be done. Will only upload a mix im sure makes the grade. I love doing mixes of megamixes too and upload them every couple of weeks or so.
