My main style of drum and bass what i like to play at the moment is mostly a selection of newskool jungle drum n bass lots of deep rolling bass lines and hard step snares with dutty amen breaks,Tracks by artists such as ray keith, bladerunner ,serum ,mr explicit ,lighterman ,critical impact ,promenade ,terminus ,lionfire ,serial killaz ,northern lights ,colossus ,cabin fever uk ,savage rehab ,diamond geezer ,phantom warrior, and harvest. I also love my old skool mostly between the years of 1991 to 1998,My first 12" record i ever bought was rebel mc and double trouble with a track called (street tuff) back in summer 1989 ,it was a hip house tune ,Witch when i look back now it was really the very biginnings of early jungle dnb ,The first tunes i can remember that i would class as early "jungle" when i look back was probably the ragga twinns (homeless problem) and rum and black (wicked) witch were both out some time in summer 1991,And of course lenny d ice ( we are i,E) you can not beat that heavy bass line and wicked sample that when played even to day can make you want to get down low and do the one foot skank,OH And also the 1991 tunes (The bouncer) By kick like a mule,And the classic early jungle techno tune (pump up the sound) by Flex and on the flip side a tune by DJ A sides called (Expressions),OH and who can for get noise factory's "(The buzz) What a classic tune, but if i had the time i could think of lots and lots ,Any way the first two tunes i can remember actually refering to them as "jungle techno",and not hardcore witch i have lots of arguments about with people because some younger ravers say the term jungle was not being said untill around the summer of 1993 witch i think is a real joke and shows me they were not around in the early 90s or they just do not have a clue because like i say the first two tracks i was calling "jungle tech" was the massive tune by "A guy called gerald" ( 28 gun badboy) witch first came out on a dubplate around autumn 1991 and later general release around spring 1992, The other was by c.m.c called (jungle fever) witch came out in early 1992 on the b side of a track on limited E records ,a good label at the time, any way Both tracks i thought at the time was not hardcore but jungle techno witch i can remember being said by mcs such as mc mad p (patrick) ,mc lenni, bassman, moose, manparis and robbie dee all around the summer of 1991 . I started to get properly into the scene around the start of 1991 where it all began for me as a young 15 year old dedicated jungle raver ,Because be for that in the late 80s i only really liked hip hop such as N.W.A and later ice cube, easy e ,mc ren and dr dre who where just as good when they split also artists like big daddy kane, black sheep and public enemy i did like hip house records like rebel mc,jungle brothers ,silver bullet ,fast eddie and the cult jam i never really got into the house ,garage ,acid house and european techno that a lot of djs were playing at this time i think i thought the early rave scene between 87 to 90 had a hippy vibe, but when they started useing more hip hop ,ragga samples, bass and breakbeats on more of the records in the early 1991 rave scene i took more notice ,it was labels like shut up and dance ,ibiza recs and suburban bass recs that were doing it ,And when i heard the ragga twinns tracks and mc's like Bassman, moose, lenni and mad p i new it was not for hippies and it was deffo for me,Then i heard djs like fabio, grooverider, ratty,dj seducution,dj ss,doc scott, easygroove, keith suckling, topbuzz,dj sy,dj hype, ellis dee, kenny ken, nookie, pilgrim, carl cox,dj trace,dj die, bryan g,ned ryder, dj ron ,badboy t ,food junkie ,phantasy ,darren jay ,ray keith ,swanne, mastersafe and of course my favorite djs of all time jumping jack frost, ltj bukem, randall and micky finn ,Well by now i was in love with the scene but i was a bit to young to go to a rave at the time,But in dec 1992 i went to my first ,I was 16 by that time,And yes i was deffinitely a junglist by then ,My first event was a nye fantazia rave some were in berkshire there was all most 20,000 ravers there in a field witch had 3 massive big top tents all with 100k sound systems in,I can remember it as if it was just last week,And the fisrt dj and mc's i ever heard live when we got into the main arena/tent were dj phantasy with mc's ribzz and scally wag,I had been into the scene for nearly two years befor i went to my first rave so the dj's and mc's were like mega stars to me at the time so i was proper buzzing ,And i was very young as well for my first rave,It was a wicked night that i will never for get          ...........................................................................................................................................                 Well that was my first Rave  ,And now 20 years later in 2012 i am still very much going to them, Ok May be no were near as much as i did between 1992 to 2002, But i still go out when i can and in the last few years since around 2008 i took djing more serious,Ok i started to dj late in life being that i have been into the scene for so long but thats life ,and i did take to it fast and now get to play out at events at least a couple of times a month  ,Witch means i have started going out a lot more now,The big difference now is I just dont get off my face any more to me its not about that any more, for me its 100% about the music ,but hay liston you do what you do its all bless . . . . .So id like to big up all old skool and new skool raver all true dnb heads and all the original junglists over the last 21 years , ojs stay real  ........ big props to The Sons.Of.Jacob   ....... raiders of the oldskool  ... www.raidersradio.co.uk/ ...Jungle spectrum ......  liquid sessions ......fizzy beats ... . differrentdrumz radio  ..... atomic vibes radio ..... odyssey crew...... distinct fm  ... origin fm ...  .kool london radio..... bassdrive radio ...... .....and a massive shout out ,blessings and big up to -- miss eve - - pure t - - dj dash dee ... markuz darkuz - - mr botty - - lu lu - - jacks - - pmx - - andy f -- - wayne f - -  matty e  - - soulculture - -madcap - - soultec -- - - jo jo - -dj nitro -- dj fridd - - dj cyte - - robski - - dj cautious - - dj j p - - - tim ryan - - prosper - - grafix - - scenic - - advisory - - glt - - tim osg - -  nick sellers - - frequincee - - mark lofty - - jinx - - benny colab  - - spartan crew  - - pepper s.o .j ... mc stixman - - - mc brasko - - mc major ranks - - mc razor - - mc mr dee - - - mc manikular - -  - mc h2flo - - mc banshco - - mc brink - - mc pm - - and the s.o.j badboy him self mc ranger t ... lets keep this ting called Jungle Alive till the end of time ,it can be done ,trust . .................................... It all started back in 1990 with The Happy Mondays & Stone Roses. Rave was still underground & Illegal The sound was fresh. It all started when I listened to a mixtape a mate was listenin to he said have a listen to this. I soon started to search for pirate stations around my local area, MIX FM, FRESH FM (Leicester) & KOOL FM (Birmingham). Has I got more into the music I thought I would have a go at DJin so brought myself a pair of soundlab belt drives & a numark mixer & buy my vinyl from 5HQ. In 2009 I thought I would have a go at producin my own tracks.   UNDER CONTRUCTION

Being part of a very large & musically diverse Family, I was lucky enough to be exposed to and enthused by many era’s of great Music from as early as the 1950’s and across a wide range of different styles, from Motown, Rockabilly, Jazz & Soul through to Punk, Ska, Heavy Metal, Rock and especially Hip Hop & Dance Music. Being born in 1978 I was fortunate to see the start of what we now call Dance Music, from the 80’s era onwards, such as House, Speed Garage, early Rave, Happy Hardcore, Drum n Bass, Jungle and Techno. It was in this beginning phase of Dance Music that I became even more engrossed in the Scene, especially with House Music, Rave, Techno & Speed Garage. From that early exposure i started clubbing in places such as Cream, Uropa, Ark, Ministry of Sound, Sankey’s, Pleasure Rooms and the Legendary Gallery in Leeds. Here i soon became aware of Djing, although I remained a clubber for many more Years before I ever considered trying it out myself. Eventually, after seeing some of the greatest DJs & Musician’s in the World perform, such as Tony De Vit, Prodigy, DJ Sy, Rob Tissera, Carl Cox, Steve Luigi, Altern-8, Jeremy Healey, Sasha & Digweed and many more besides, I finally decided to try my hand at Djing and bought my first set of Turntables, some belt-driven Soundlab DLP 1600’s and a cheap Synergy T1000 Mixer then started to play around with music and began building my own Vinyl & CD collection It wasn’t until I invested in a pair of Technics SL1210 mk2’s back in 2008 that I truly began to learn the Art of Djing and also began frequenting Hard House Events at some of the best Night’s in the early to mid 2000’s, Housewives Choice, Sundissential, Glasshouse, GoodGreef & Savaged to name a few of my all-time favourites. Later in 2008, I started up my own Night “Back2Bounce” helped by some of my good friends and great DJs, Martin C, Tony H, Mad Will, Mosswah, Joe Longbottom and James Clark, catering for like-minded clubbers & DJs alike with the Music Policy being one of Uplifting & Bouncy Hard House. During that period I was lucky enough to be asked to play at several Savaged Events, including one Xmas Special alongside one of my favourite DJ/Producer’s, the mighty Ilogik and was also hired for a few private parties here and there. Along with all this, I began venturing into Online Djing thanks to a good friend of mine Matthew Ridings, who I helped set up WkdBeats Online Radio with, playing a wide range of Hard House & Organ Bassline on my shows and soon after that, I began playing around with Music Production using Fruity Loops and Ableton, where I made quite a few tracks ranging from Bounce & Mash Up’s to Dirty Dutch House & Fidget, with several signed to Labels and sold Worldwide via different online music stores. Unfortunately soon after all this I had to put my Musical ambitions on hold, feeling that i’d never truly gotten off the ground properly, due to severe difficult times & personal Family circumstances and more importantly a need to focus on my own Family more which mainly involved my becoming a Full-time Carer for my Wife Siubhan and putting my full attention on raising my two young Girls, leaving me with no time to spare for my love of Music. I spent the next ten or so Years this way, whilst holding onto my dream of returning to my love for Djing, Producing and Dance Music, even trying to entice myself back in by setting up a DJ Page on Facebook and making new Music & Mixes when I had the time spare, although it wasn’t until 2019 that things ultimately took a turn for the better and my patience was finally rewarded and my passion renewed. I have since began focusing once again on my Djing and Producing, revitalizing my Facebook DJ Group and turning my attention to giving it my all, to see how far I can take it and more importantly get back to enjoying life and Music a lot more. Currently I have a Monthly Schedule for my Music, that I plan to maintain and use to showcase myself with, by releasing regular Monthly Mixes through my love of Speed Garage, Organ Bassline, Jackin’ House, Dirty Dutch House, Melbourne Bounce, Bounce, Hard House & Hard Bounce and am also, for the first time, working with other producer’s to make fresh new music, with my first being my upcoming original Hard Bounce release “Hit Em Wi The Rolla” in collaboration with Joe Longbottom, closely followed later this May by getting back into the studio to finish off a special Remix of BassJumper & Jon BW - I Believe [Jump Trax]

DJ STUDIO : 2 x Technics 1200's (as owned as a young un!) - chrome deck plates : 2 x Pioneer CDJ800's : Pioneer DJM600S : Alesis M1 Active 520 Monitors : Serato & PC & of course Ortofon Concordes... :) MUSIC STUDIO : Water Cooled Beast of a PC : M-Audio Soundcard : Yamaha HS80M Monitors : Yamaha NS10M Studio Monitors : Access Virus C : Evolution MK125 Keyboard : Numark PPD01 Mixer : 1 x Technics 1200 : Technics Power Amp : Loads of VST's & Samples Records of course :) erm... and some cds, some flyers, bit of old chewing gum (still wrapped if your interested!) some manky phono leads - just in case.... oh yeah.. & a picture of your mum :) At the tender age of 10 I began taking an interest in underground dance music from the Blackpool area. Listening to mix tapes from the likes of Neuro, Jooce, Danza, Zone and Fever, ultimately inspired me to become a DJ. I began buying records, even though I had no turntables, and began itchin’ it up on my mum’s hi-fi turntable…. Soon I was “king of the one deck mix” and thought it time to further my DJ skills. At 13 I grafted all summer holidays to get myself some decks… belt drives…Aaargh!!! As you can imagine my skills didn’t improve much until I got my first pair of Technics. Some practice later I began Djing at friends parties etc. In 1998 (aged 17) I entered an advertised competition for bedroom DJ's on a local dance radio station called Splash FM. Play-offs were held with a total of 30 DJ's in all. Each set played was to be an hour long live on radio! I came 1st and won the title of “Best Bedroom DJ in the Fylde Coast”, which soon led to a residency at Zone in 1999. A rapid interest was shown in my abilites and began playing in venues all over the UK. Soon I was to join forces with 3 of the North West's greatest DJ’s Andy Pendle, Rikkee & Steven Jay. We began to promote our own night called FOREPLAY (2000- present). Definately the most innovative Hard House & Trance night around, and proudly pioneers of the underground “bounce” scene which is prominent today. Aswell as promting our FOREPLAY nights around the UK we started to produce our own tunes (FOREPLAYERS - CHEMICAL CREW - CODE 3) which achieved recognition in the bounce scene with plays all over clubland. Currently we are working on all genres of dance music, bounce, hardhouse, hardcore, breaks & electro house + some random stuff! Im especially devoted to Rave Breaks at the moment - dj'ing & producing - can't get enough of it! Total oldskool roots combined with modern production - pianos - breakbeats & rave style vocals - awesome! Check out my stuff - AKA- WHY?TEE - WHO?DLUM RECORDINGS (myspace.com/whyteeproductions) ; THE PRODIGY - SL2 - 2 BAD MICE - SLY T & OLLIE J - DJ SS - GROOVERIDER - ACEN - THE TIME FREQUENCY - Q-TEX - CARL COX - TOM WILSON - ULTRA SONIC - MOBY - LIQUID - CUBIC 22 - BASS RATE - DREAM FREQUENCY - RAMOS - SUPREME - SUNSET RAGIME - JOHN J - MATT BELL - CHRIS BAKER - ANDY PENDLE - LIQUID CRYSTAL - SY-KICK - PETE MONSOON & GARY DREAMWURX - STEVE MURANO - FAR TOO LOUD - SLIPMATT - JUNKI MUNKI - RECKLESS - ROBBIE LONG - STORMTROOPER - SY - UNKNOWN - CUT & RUN - CRISP BISCUIT - MC IRIE - ROXANNE SHANTE - SALT N PEPA - NWA - ICE T - PLAN B - REBEL MC - YOUNG MC - DJ TRIX - Q-BERT - NENEH CHERRY

I first started djing around about 12 years ago when i was 17. It was by chance i knew a dj in a bar and one week he asked me if i could do his set for him as he couldnt make it and gave me a brief lesson on what to do and from there i was hooked. I started getting sets playing hip hop and garage in Doncaster and sheffield and then discovered speed garage in 2001 and then started playing that. During that time myself and 2 others started a label called Gridlockd Records which became one of the biggest labels in the scene in a very short time as we were the only label making original tracks. Fast forward 12 years and in that time i played the first bassline set on bbc 1xtra, put together a compilation for ministry of sound (Maximum bass 2007) And had tracks signed to mos and all around the world (Universal). I decided in 2008 that i wasnt gonna pidgeonhole myself to one genre and went self employed as a dj and tutor. Around that time i got my own show on local legal radio station sine fm and my weekend vibes show did so well they moved me from 2-3 sat afternoon to 6-8 saturday night the show before dj legend graeme park. Nowadays i do a show called the history of Dance music on sine fm 102.6fm in Doncaster or www.sinefm.com worldwide every tuesday evening 8pm-10pm.
