GUIDO P was born musically as a DJ in the late Eighties. Always been fond of dance and electronic music, during that period he was fatally attracted to all kinds of the “House” music , Underground – Garage- Acid , but was always connected to all classic and vocal sounds, such as R&B, Soul and Acid Jazz- Notwithstanding several DJ set in various clubs of the northern area of Milan and in the near Switzerland, his name has always been associated to the prestigious and trendy MOZART Club in Varese, where he has been resident DJ all throughout the Nineties. In his current Dj set and DJ mix, he prefers and introduces –using his unmistakeably style- the best Soulful House and Deep Soul, daily and carefully selected in the wide panaroma of the contemporaneous dance music. He is the Co-founder and Co-owner of housestationradio.com one of the best live shows web radio of the current house music scene globally. He is a remixer and producer too at HSR Records and he collaborated also with several indipendent label such In The Zone Entertainment, Molto Recordings, Welcome To The Weekend, UTS Records, Lapsus Music, Dejavoo Records, Epoque Music, BCR Music and Soulful Evolution Records, remixing tracks made by top level artists such Audiowhores, Kenny Bobien, Chanelle, David Walker, Billy Lofton, Rescue Poetix, LaVeda Davis, Natasha Watts and with lot of emerging talents too.

I started the clubs scene during the 1980s and I was influenced by soul- disco, the freewheeling Jaz funk scene, emerging house, hip-hop styles and Latin . I went to my very first Southport weekender in the early 90's and then I became hooked with the house scene and I bought my first decks and started to play sets in the underground clubs and parties. I was a Part of largest pirate radio station in yorkshire sharing my passion for Funk soul- US Garage & soulful house. Thats history and this is now... 23 years at the decks endorse the trajectory and experience of this disc-jockey and producer from Sevilla, Spain. Raúl Navarrete aka DeeJayKul. Armed with a great knowledge and passion for black music in all its forms from a very early age (Soul, Jazz, Funk, House, Electro, Hip Hop), he has been resident DJ in the most emblematic clubs in Sevilla: Bestiario, Catedral, BuBus. His purpose as a DJ has always been to show the public all that unknown dance music, staying away from orthodox sounds.His career begins in 1997, remixing a track for Sindicato del Crimen. Thanks to this remix he releases “Mondofonk” with Boozo Records, legendary Spanish label belonging to DJ Tony Rox. From that moment on, his music is included in several compilations, such as TARIFA GROOVE SESSIONS, CAFÉ SOLAIRE, he begins to produce local new soul artists such as Diargi, Nalaya, and , composes the music for the SONY Spain advertising campaign, combining all this with live performances in festivals such as SONAR 99 and ESPARRAGO 2000. His latest release, BACK TO BASICS, released with Andy Compton’s PENG RECORDS in the UK is a symbiosis of all this musical restlessness accumulated over the years. I first started djing around about 12 years ago when i was 17. It was by chance i knew a dj in a bar and one week he asked me if i could do his set for him as he couldnt make it and gave me a brief lesson on what to do and from there i was hooked. I started getting sets playing hip hop and garage in Doncaster and sheffield and then discovered speed garage in 2001 and then started playing that. During that time myself and 2 others started a label called Gridlockd Records which became one of the biggest labels in the scene in a very short time as we were the only label making original tracks. Fast forward 12 years and in that time i played the first bassline set on bbc 1xtra, put together a compilation for ministry of sound (Maximum bass 2007) And had tracks signed to mos and all around the world (Universal). I decided in 2008 that i wasnt gonna pidgeonhole myself to one genre and went self employed as a dj and tutor. Around that time i got my own show on local legal radio station sine fm and my weekend vibes show did so well they moved me from 2-3 sat afternoon to 6-8 saturday night the show before dj legend graeme park. Nowadays i do a show called the history of Dance music on sine fm 102.6fm in Doncaster or www.sinefm.com worldwide every tuesday evening 8pm-10pm.
