Alex Tyceni Vol 18
was never supposed to happen. I had concluded that my style had
changed over the last year or two. I tried to stay true to the
chilled-deep-house sound of the Alex Tyceni vols, but just kept falling back into
deep house with a hint of deep-tech house.

And then it
happened! I created another Alex Tyceni Series that started last
month with “Alex Tyceni 01 – Well's Imagination”. I have tried
before to start projects but never kept to them, I guess even after
20+ years of listening to house and learning about mixing, I still to
this day find myself in a moment of contemplation.

I have decided to
carry on with the Alex Tyceni Vols as they really do put my soul in
music. I just needed to create a deep house/deep-tech house series.
Hopefully (I have said this before) I will now stay true to the Alex
Tyceni Vols and the way they were created in the first place – deep
melodic bass with some uplifting moments that just take me away into
another place and time……

Until next time…….

Peace, Love and
Respect.

Alex

Opening track....- Nice. Levelling light bounce on the synth drops, you ease into this one. 8:15 - (Sigh).... Gripping female vocals (Gry Bagoien) and notice the overall despair in the track melody. https://media.licdn.com/mpr/mpr/AAEAAQAAAAAAAArhAAAAJDMwZTI1YmU2LTBjNzgtNDI3NS05MmVmLTAxODMwYzM4ZjJjOQ.jpg - A blogger (saidanddone) on discogs even wrote, "It could move you to tears." 14:45 - Momentum. And still trying to get the dust out of his eyes. 17:55 - Violin. 25:00 - Deepness. Notice the old skool, late 80s breakbeat-style on the percussion. 31:55 - Very Nice. Sharp cadence on the female vocals. 37:00 - Trumpet, marching mechanics (sounds) on the percussion. http://l7.alamy.com/zooms/1d80945fd95046d5af3c995b5a966908/women-in-black-with-the-face-covered-by-a-black-veil-parade-singing-j362je.jpg - 42:35 - Heavy. 47:30 - (Notice the gait and irony on this track) And in his despair he chose the worst possible option. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/ea/d0/d8/ead0d874651800115d8c25aecd7cbbc7.gif - 52:20 - Soothing rainfall. 59:40 - Yeah man, proper mind drift right ere. 64:40 - And somewhere in the evening's fog, he struggles to come to grips with it all. 71:00 - Coda.... lovely cascading keys. Waiting for the second when it can all turn....

- This is a heavy scene for us in melancholy. The audio journey here really dives into the reality of yearning and isolation. There's blunt honesty in this. (1 hr 16 mins - Compelling.)
