Dj Redbook, a prolific South African DJ and producer. Hailing from Maftown, originally trained in classic guitar, Red is writing and producing music for discerning dance floors around the world since 2010. Now heavily involved with his own imprint; Slug House, Red is looking forward to a busy release schedule and some truly exciting collaborations.
As a DJ, Redbook has through the years developed a refined sense of energies and rhythm. This goes to show in the way he mixes genres seamlessly. He’ll drop a rare disco joint into a house stomper only to wander into techno territory and back. Hip moving, lower body music with that vital element of funk is the recipe of his favourite stew- preferably served fresh on vinyl.
